Ballista bolt token in BG3 |

I bought a ballista bolt token from the siegemaster in bg3, but then he wouldn't take it. Isn't he supposed to give me the 20 bolts when I drop the token on him?
I was able to buy them from page 2, but now have a useless(?) token I bought for 1g. Huh? |
