Catapult stratagies
A few questions to the wise sages here...
1) can you fire a catapult from under the Battlegrounds bridge at the Central Keep, or from under any such type bridge structure? ("overhead" obstructions)
2) can you defensively fire a catapult at the enemies on the gates from within a relic keep central tower? Either the lower floor near the Darkness Falls portal (no visibility) or the relic room itself (miniscule visibility out room windows)
3) can you build/operate a seige engine in water?

Re: Catapult stratagies
Catapults do not require LoS, they should shoot through a bridge or a wall just fine. They do, however, have a minimum range restriction. You may not be able to hit the inner relic doors from the relic (though you certainly could hit the outer doors if you had someone to /groundassist on).
Surprisingly, I've never tried to build a trebuchet in the water. And this is coming from someone who has made posts trying to convince people to get Mastery of Water and Lifter to join my Aquatic Siege Team.

Siege and water

Yes
3) can you build/operate a seige engine in water?
Yes, but it looks like the siege drops to the water bottom so it can only be so deep before you're out of control range. Need to test in a deeper body of water. The bg moats aren't that deep.

What is the ranges on the Catapults
Was curious cause I remember seeing that the ranges were changed to 1500 across the board is that the minimum ranges or the max ranges? Just curious cause at a max range of 1500 wouldn't make much sense.

Ranges
1500 is the minimum range.
Max is range approximately 3500. This is past the draw radius for players. So it can hit people who can't see you or the treb and you can't see them.
It is also past the range where you can move the ground target. You need to advance 500 or so, set target and then return to use the full range.

Thanks
Thanks Illyana,
Been trying to tell a guildmate of mine that 1500 max range would not make any sense!
When we seen the patch notes it did not really say whether min range was 1500 across the board or max range.
