Retrieving Wood from a Ram on the 2nd door of a keep
Is there a trick to picking up the wood of the second door siege weapon after a keep take?
The doors close when you kill the Lord, I always find the ram used on the second door between the doors, I'm able to salvage it, but the wood always falls between the doors and I can't pick it up, I get a LOS error message when I try.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just impossible to get that wood?

You need to salvage it to get the wood. Salvage places the wood directly in inventory.
Only the owner (builder) can salvage.

There's a small gap between the ramp and the 2nd door of an albion keep. With creative panning, you can target the bags and then pick them up.
Also, the wood will be used up mysteriously if you just stand next to the door with no wood and try to repair/upgrade it. It's some weird mystical effect that I don't understand, but you seem to pull wood from around you when you try to repair. Sadly, it seems to be used *last*, after all wood in your inventory.

Or have someone stand between the doors as you drop the lord to pick it up. That's what I try to do.

Problem solved for all but 3 keeps - 1 per realm.
