DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. See Maeve the Crone in a hut north of Ardee. You must have the Fagan's Signet Ring on you, not in your inventory. She tells you a long story and you have to find Empar in Caille. Empar is behind the north hut of Caille. He send you to Rylie, SE of Caille, near the Moonstone Lake (moonstone lake /loc is 57700, 58475). Rylie is waiting near a high black stone. But... there are about 8 empyrean watchers, neutral (if you have a good faction with Empyreans), conned blue-yellow, and about 6 trackers, agressives, conned yellow to red to my lvl20 enchanteress. The trackers run very quickly from a tree to the stone and back. While they were all away fron the stone, I ran to Rylie, clicked on him and.... no time to read what he said, I was killed by the trackers !!!! I received xp, gold and a very nice robe. Looking at the quest log, the Seek the Moonstone quest is at step 8 waiting you complete first a new quest: Criostoin's Promise. *Do Criostoin's Promise here and return After the Criostoin's Promise quest is finished, I went to the old tower to meet Duana or Edan. I gave the collar to Duana, but she told me I have to more powerfull to continue the quest... Official hint (from Camelot Herald): Rewards: |

I cant talk to Rylie now. I click on him and the only thing I get is that he's neutral to me >:(

He's behind the central stone building. He may not have been there the first time I checked, but then I wasn't looking BEHIND the building for the local boss. =/

im level 17 now is it possible to do the epic quests now or do u have to be level 7 to start them ,my trainer wont give me any

Loc of the standing stone at Moon Lake is 57700, 58475. You should be able to easily talk to Rylie immediately after he spawns at 18 hours game time. The bad guys don't show up until right after someone talks to him so if you get there first, you can do your fighting/running only after you finish with Rylie and get your rewards. I received 681,235 XP and the item reward.

I have spoken to empar and found the lake nut i cant find Rylie ive been searching for 2 days killing trackers plz plz plz help

From Callie, when I found the lake, I swam across towards a tall black stone, Rylie was standing right in front of the stone, so it is hard to see him if you are behind the stone, and hard to get close because of the trackers, I found it easiest to approach him from the water, though I still got killed shortly afterwards.

To avoid getting attacked by the trackers when you go to talk to Rylie say "speak to the hounds"
that is the last thing that needs to be said. Then run away as fast as you can. Don't bother trying to read.

I started my epic a few months ago and have recently come back to it now I'm L45. My journal says 'speak to the dogs' and I gather I need the collar to do this. However, I do not have it anymore as I dropped it a while ago thinking it was a useless piece of loot...doh :(
Does anyone know if I can get another one and if so how, because I can't remember who gave it to me in the 1st place?
Any help will be much appreciated :)

I just found out that if you target one of the named hounds, you can get your collar again if you've lost it. I know have two. LOL

I've Tried just talkin to the Hounds and they donot give me a collar.

I too am on step nine I found the merchant shack but cannot find the tracker?

I'm at step nine where i need to find the tracker but the directions are not really clear on where he would be. Can anyone lend a hand?

I did the first part of this quest as a nightshade and got an Empyrean Mist Cloak +6 quickness and +6 dexterity.

i've been trying to finish this quest since i got it... talked to merle, he told me to go to the crone, went to her with ring on... she does NOTHING when i try to talk to her. does the merle's informant quest have to be finished to go on?

Yes you have to finish the Informant quest. Make sure you give her the crown you receive. Put the ring on and then talk to her. It should work no problem.

i never did merle's informant... you have to talk to the other guy named in the quest... not the crone, but The Old... he'll send you to merle the crone

You have to finish Merle's Informant and also be at least lvl 20 before Meave will talk to you.

Since Merle's Informant is level 15, I suspect this much is true, finish it and try again.

Rory is Located in the Bog of Cullen at 3800 x 3200 at top of a hill in front of a tent. At level 26, he would not speak to me.

Both of these are found walking around the ruined tower NE of Lough Derg. The tower of Tir na mBeo is not actually in Tir na mBeo.

at least at lvl 30 u can talk to Rory, he can be found at 3k 3k on a hill then u head from innes directly to the entrance of the epic-zone
he will give u the moonstone which needs to be brought back to fagan and at least u get your hardly earned reward from him
enchanter: fagans-wand fokus 25 enchanter skills + 9 int (not sure right know ; ) )

Okay - you gave what the reward for an encchanter is - but how bout for a champion or bard? I have a lvl 26 bard right now and I'm still trying to find that tracker and I want to know how big of a hurry I should be to finish this quest. I was told by others to not worry too much about it and to finish it at total leisure but none of them knew what the reward was.

i continued the quest at lvl 29, duana told me to go to lough gur near the merchant stand and from there S the road to find the tracker, i found him
at 43k 11k left from the road in the wood after killing some siabras which where grey to me, the tracker himself was blue ... as reward i got a collar with +1 to all enchanter skills and an note which only could be read by enchanters ... therefore see Kern in Innes he will decrypt the note and send you to Rory in the bog of cullen

i did this quest got to giving the collar to edan.. all sudden 6 dergan hit me in the back i died.. he wont talk to me again i dont have the collar and it still tells me i need to talk to them :/

You need Fagan's Signet on in order for Edan or Duana to talk to you.
