DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. After I finished the first part of the quest I had to wait till lvl 20 to continue. I got confused at first, because the journal still lists the "give the ore" step, however I had completed that. When I came back at lvl 20 I thought the task was dead because I couldn't get Dera to do anything besides tell me about the materials or ore. I found if I clicked on her and typed "/say these materials" she would let me continue the task. Well this one has ya running all over the place. First back to the Sheerva Miners to get a silver tipped arrow from one of the archers (the one past Cougar (loc's 35/45 and 59/28). Then get a Hill Hound (loc's: 44/39 and 40/46)pelt on the way back to the standing stone and over to a guard at the Tower on the way to Innis to get a bag of something (I forget). Well the guard wants a merman skin in return, I went to Connlia's Well to get that and got killed a couple times. (At L21 these guys are a little tough for me). Back to the guard and then back to Dera. Dera gives you a rewards and asks if you want to do more? Sure I say... Well this part has me running to see the giant outside of Innis. Catch a horse all the way to Innis and he's by some standing stones, in a field, I think to the NE of Innis (not too far away). There are sprites nearby that aggro'd on me. Giant is called Bran the Giant and is in Cliffs of Moher, loc=62518, 51276. Talk to him. Well the Giant tells me a long story and then says I'm too low level for this. real log for this camp is with dogs and the 2 named siogs is 9 12 in brie leith this mother@#%^er that added the logs written in the quest info on this side , u just a stupid bag of crap man thx for waste my time

I dont know if Mythic would consider it a bug or
what, but this quest series is now ALL called
'secret of nuada's silver', and the quest does
NOT change in your journal from lv 15 to 20, I
just went thru the lv20 segment, and its just
treating it all as steps in the lv 15 label.
As I commented in the lv 15 thread, nearly all
locations are now different, dont follow the
things said in comments here, do what your
journal says.
Its a nuissance, but on the positive side, it seems like the quest is easier in its newer
form.

To get the merman skin, just go to the bigger island right there at connla, SW from Slevin. Killed a merrow and it dropped the skin.
There is no need to kill a Merman.

Finding the archers can be tricky, the ones I finally tracked down and got the arrow from are on the way to where the Sheevra miners live, across river from Howth. But instead of going all the way to where they are in their valley under the large pine trees, you will veer off into another 'valley' that cuts its way to your left<north> JUST BEFORE the miners pine valley. This area<camp> is pretty much due north of the miners/grey spectre area, not too far. Follow this first valley north. <No loc> :(
But you will pass some walking rocks, and finally come up to a camp of sheevra, there are some archers there, I had to kill three before one dropped the arrow.
Make sure you have your quest log saying that this is what you need to do, if you are bugged, may have to report this problem.
ALSO, BRAN the GIANT will not speak to you UNTIL you are 25 seasons, I have noticed some have been trying to talk to him before that, he wont respond with the next step to you unless you are 25 or above.
MERROW for the powder, are much closer to Slevin, and about 2 levels lower then MERMEN. They live out on the LARGEST island in the river between Connla and Slevins Tower, they are DAY SPAWN only, seem neutral to all <I think> including this 21st season Ranger.

Some Sheevra Archers at loc 35/45, and plenty at loc 59/28 (silvermine).
Some Hill Hounds at loc 44/39 and 40/46.

Done everything, and found the giant. But He only tells me "What can I do for you litte Celt" bah..

I am level 30 currently suck on this quest. I have just killed the merman, the hell hound and get the silver tipped arrow. I returned to the guard tower by connel, then took the stuff back to Dera in magmell. My quest then says
Step 10 "Dera thinks this is the silver used to make nada's silverhand and that there must be more of this powder around"
Thats all very nice, but the game doesn't actually tell me what to do, or where to go to do whatever im suppose to do. None the steps here seem to match what my quest says.

Hi all forget the merman, go west of Connla till you hit water look south big island during the day the merrows are on the west side of this island, two bolts stun dd dead merrow take skin back to whats his face done deal good luck

Well I got to giant.. but the giant only says "What do you want little elf" and nothing else.. I'm lvl31 eldritch, so that cant be the problem.. and got all the materials to Dera. Anyone knows what to do ? Is the giant bugged?

i have done all the steps ..but at step 10 when i go to the ench she says "give me the silver arow" but i dont have it..and i killed those shevra archers 100 times i think and no silver arrow drop...plz answer me

Pixel, do the Merrows on Island near Connia. The are there only during daylight hours. The Island is the on see from the binding stone at Connia.

Hihi! Pixel come from Nimue Hibernia to tell you that Sheevra Archer is easiest to find SE across from Howth, not where you found the miners, but along the shoreline at the bottom of a hill or on the hillside. The Archer was sickly ((green)) to Pixel at season ((level)) 20, most of the other Sheevra stuff around there was weak ((grey)) at the time.
Next, you go up the same hill area and there is a Hill Hound there. Careful! Pixel see aggressive brutal ((red)) and neutral dangerous ((orange)) monsters in the area too! Hill Hound was sad looking ((blue)) and Pixel killed it easy with bolts.
Next step was to go to Slevin at his little tower on the road to Innis Cartaig. Slevin is a merchant at the tower just across the bridge with a fisherman on it (the fisherman that lost his pearl ring to his golden fish pet, then lost his fish in the river). Slevin has the powder you need, but he wants a Merman skin or a Merrow skin to trade for the powder. Pixel wandered around and found the Mermen at Connla's Well and all of them were brutal ((red)) so he died trying to kill one (just to get back to Tir Na Nog).
Pixel will do more research and add notes to this soon as possible. <smiles>

Completed the first part of the quest, but step #10 just says something like "Dera thinks that there is a mine full of this silver" or something. I've tried jumping the gun and heading the Bran but he doesn't wanna know, so I'm obviously missing something here. Ideas anyone?

I am having the same problem, Killed the miner, the
wolf, got the arrow, and the powder, took it back
to dera, and now all she said to me was "Dera thinks

She won't talk to me anymore. Bran the giant
won't talk to me, and Chief P won't talk either...
the quest has totally stalled for me and I don't
know what to do.

Go to Dera and say "Upper hand" to her. I haven't had time to make sure it works, but thats what Mythic has written on their support web site.
