Well I just did this today with my
Vamp and I got the vest. I dont see
leggings listed either... too bad I'd
rather have the shadow points, this
has dementia.

I just finished this quest with my 30th Vampiir on Gaheris. The reward is:

Phantom Hide Leggings

Follow up:

I killed Riocard, easy by the way conned yellow and was down in 20 seconds, went back to the Old Hermit and gave him Bas' Jewel again and received another reward.

i killed riocard three times now to get the jewel! and journal also says take the Bas jewel to the old hermit, but i didnt and havent recieved anything.?

You wont actually get anything until you give the Bas Jewel back to the old hermit. Thats when u get the reward

I completed the quest and got my hat (VW reward) but what exactly am I supposed to do with this armband?

If you want to get rid of your armband, give it to Chieftess Niamh in Innis Carthaig. She will say something about collecting them and give you 70 silver and a few copper for it. You can't sell it otherwise.

I am having trouble with step 9 which reads
"You have the armband. The hermit spoke of Chief Niamh. Maybe she can help you. Mention Riocard and that you've walked the path of Cad Goddeau."

I mentioned riocard, and she spit out of bunch of useless stuff. Im having trouble with the path of cad coddeau. I have tried every combination of Cad Goddeau and wallked path of cad goddeau I can think of... none of them get any kinda of response from her.

If I just right click on here she nothing. I tried to take the jewel back to the hold hermit.. he didn't want it. I have the armband to the Niamh and she gave me 70 copper.

I'm stuck, can anyone help me?

I'm a lvl 27 druid and I did this part last night right after I killed the Druid. I targeted her and said " Riocard ", she said something (I really don't remember what was said but nothing was in parenthesis). I then said "I walk the path of Cad Goddeau". She then told me to go and find Riocard and gave me the gloves. I hope this helps.

After I killed Riocard, I returned at Old Hermit's home near Innis Carthaig (the big tree) but he wasn't there. Since I killed the apparishing druid at his home, he didn't return. Does someone know why?

My vamp has also got stuck on step 11. After killing Riocard my journal is updated to step 11 and says to return the jewel to the Old Hermit. However, the Old Hermit is not in his home - I have logged in and out, rekilled Riocard etc to no avail. Anyone know how I can get him to appear so that I can get my reward and continue on with the epic? (Thanks)

GOA advised that in 1.75 the Old Hermit was moved to a camp south of Brynach in Bri Leith and they are right! Found Blademaster and Old Hermit due south of Brynach.

I to have a question. I can kill Riocard at 26, but am wondering if I must wait until 30. The journal says nothing about 'gaining more experiance' to go after him.

I killed him tiwce at level 30 druid and nothing advanced. Do I have to give him something. I am stuck at step 10. Both times that I did it i was in a group with a 28 nightshade. The second time a 28 bard helped as well. Any hints?

I killed him first of all with the aid of one of those Siogs, but it wouldn't let me advance by doing that. I found I had to kill him myself to advance.

You are right. If any of the siogs hit him while you are in combat the quest will not advence. Also, watch out, because it seems he has all the standard Druid buffs as well, which makes it all the harder to kill him solo, even with your pet!You need to hand him the jewel, and at that point he says he doesnt want it, was no friend of Bas, and attacks you. If you dont hand it to him first, the quest wont advance. Good luck and Safe Travels :-)

Hey gang,

Im season 28th , percival server im on the last step of this quest, all i have to do is return the armband , however my question is was i suppose to recive any other item from the whole quest besides the green vine necklace ? or are the other items class specific ?
