DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Go to Howth, Cathbad is in the main hut next to the firepot. Tell him, "I walk the path of cad goddeau", then "I need bas' jewel". He will give you a gem called Bas' Jewel and instruct you to hand it over to the Old Hermit. Return to the Old hermit's hut and(located south of Brynach in the Valley of Bri Leith loc=25787,54683 in a tent.) hand him the gem. He will give u a long paragraph to read about the 4 evils then suddenly disappear and a lvl 30 Druid Spirit will appear in his place. I've only done this part once and i tried to quickcast mez the druid spirit but she resisted and i died shortly after. Whether you kill this druid spirit or not is not important here, the quest goes on so dont worry if you die. Although with a bit of preparation it is possible to kill the spirit with some help. Ive heard that killing her may give you another interim reward, but again this isnt necessary. You will receive Bas' Jewel once again. Step 8 requires you to travel east of the Boulder Bridge around Howth and kill a mob called a Druid to obtain the armband. The druid camp can be found by taking the stones that let you cross the river to the east. Once you cross, just head into the open area to the east. They are easy to kill but run fast. Kill a Druid and he will yell "Mentalist, walking the path of Cad Goddeau? Did not the Old Hermit tell you it is the walk of death?" while he fights. You will automatically receive an armband. Now remember this camp because you will come back here. The druids can be nasty when you approach them. Watch out for the fact that they cast a fire dd on you and that alot of them doing it may result in death :P (Alot of them which is typically the case when you approach them during this quest).

Am doing this quest with my 27 vampiir
and the location of the druid is now
east of the Boulder Bridge around Howth.
Its the stones that let you cross the river
to the east. Once you cross, just head into the
open area to the east, you will see a number of
Druids wandering about. Be warned, if you stand
around a while they will all agro.
Sigh, I know this was all a result of them
'upgrading' the original world, and while it
was nice in many ways, its unfortunate that
it invalidates so much info on the web :(

Hi! After I saved the druid I went to talk to Cathbad...First I told him that I walk the path of Cad Goddeau, and he asks me if he can aid me...Everything works fine untill I say "i need bas� jewel". Nothing happends....PLEEEEASE help me! I�m going nuts!

Seeked the druid camp at the top of the hill near Caille and Cain. The camp was located as expected at approximately 20k, 18k. Used the controlled pet to kill a yellow druid... had to run away, though, as Riocard (orange) and another druid (blue) came to help. Got the armband however and am omw to Innis Carthaig to visit Chief Niamh in the crafter's hut.

The camp of druids near TC (Treibh Cailte) is much faster to get to when looking for the bracer. They are almost directly behind the entrance W of the lake.

Hmmm - just got to this stage, but my assignment was to seek out Druids in Lough Gur behind the Meruchas...maybe this varies a bit each time?

I had to seek out the druids to get the armband. They are near the dungoen treibh (I cant spell it right)

We killed the Druid Spirit that spawns to attack you and only got coin from it.
