Turn left at fork to find her in a group of dead trees. - She explains she is held by magic and needs her "Guardian" to break the spell. "Guardian" is located across estuary from Connla. Name is Lucan. - Lucan the ghost, loc=40300 40925 near the standing stones, southeast of the Muire Tomb in Connacht. (may be a night spawn only). He explains that she is evil and needs to be destroyed so he can rest in peace. He asks that a live willow branch then be brought to Torrance the Druid trainer in Ardee, in front of one of the buildings. loc 54642, 49959. - Kill Ciar after she freaks out. Get branch and a magic item. A dialog box will open as she is dying, this is the Dying Favor quest. Ignore the periods in the locations for Ciar. I found her around 39000, 10800 east of Mag Mell. If you're near the circle of birch trees with skellies and a summoner, you're getting warm.

I did the quest with both a druid and a ment. Killed ciar one time and lucan the other. Doesn't seem to make any difference. Up to you which to believe =)

i killed ciar by mistake and so she didnt goive me the dying favour quest or whatever can i stil do the epic quests?? or am i barred and is there any way of rectifiying it if that is so

WHere is Lucan the ghost anyways. I've been to the ghost camp across Connla, near the shore, but i don't see any ghost there named Lucan.

Perhaps he is a night spawn. I haven't been able to find him during the day. Guess I'll have to wait til night.
Nm, perhaps he is a random spawn. I just talked to him after doing a few sheeries (im level 8).

You aren't the only one. I did the quest with no connection problems. On my old server, It went alright. On the new character (mentalist) I talked to Ciar, went to Lucan, went back and killed Ciar (Got the ring and the branch). Went to give it to Torrance and he didn't accepted it. Quest log said I had finished the quest. I wonder who miss-typed what line of code recently!!!!!!

I started the quest ....went and talked to ciar then over to Lucan , but when i get back and are going to kill ciar SHE ISNT THERE! why ?!?

ok, i killed Ciar, got my druid item, and have the branch. I tried to give the thing to Torrance but he wouldn't take it and gave it back to me, what do i do?

I had this happen to me too, but after killing Ciar I got the message that I declined the Dying Request quest... Lousy Torrance, and the lousy quest....

maybe we were supposed to kill the guardian then after turning that branch in kill ciar? oh well, too late for us i guess. =( this is almost as bad as in EQ, get the items ya need, but ya freeze/LD and it was no rent. oh well, hope this gets fixed, if it's a bug or if Mythic wants to be better then Verant/Sony. =)

This has happened to me as well. After I talked to her, then the guardian and back to her I was killed but got her down to a sliver of health. I went right back and killed her without talking to her and it said that I declined the quest too.
I have helped others do this quest asn if you do everthing in the proper order it works. But you CANNOT kill her until after she attacks first. If you attack first it messes up the quest.

this quest by the Max Level. Im a Druid at 18 and never completed this. Can I still get the Epic Quest? Or am I locked out of that for good?

Torrance is located at the Tower across the river near the bridge. He is an NPC Druid. He is outside the Tower.

My connection disconnected while i was killing Ciar. When i got back on i had a gem and the branch; also the quest was completed. Where do i take the branch to ?

Ok I have the willow limb... where is Torrance? I'm probably just missing the bastard, but I can't seem to find him. So PLEASE someone tell me very specifically where this guy is. Thanks!

Did this quest with a fellow Blademaster last night and we both got the Swordsmans Belt at the same time, only had to kill each NPC one time! Much better that some OTHER games where you have to camp a spawn for each member of the group! :oP

I tried to talk to Ciar at level 7 but she didnt say anything to me.

You have to start the quest with your guild trainer.
For me, as a Blademaster, I got a message from my trainer to see the Trainer in Tir Na Nog and when I talked to him, the quest started.

As a previous poster stated, these quests are based upon path as opposed to class. At 7th level everyone gets a 'prequal' quest that leads up to the epic quest starting around 15th. For Path of Focus the prequal quest is 'Destructive Forces' the Path of Essence prequal is 'Strange Matters Indeed' and The Path of Harmony prequal is this quest. Just as with the Epics, each class gets class specific rewards.

i am a lvl 19 mentalist and i go to the dead trees right of the fork but i can never find ciar, does she only appear at night? i don't know what the deal is.

if you are coming from the North to the fork, run a little farther south. If you turn to your right, you will see a bunch of trees with no leaves on them on the side of a hill. Ciar is standing in those trees on the hillside.

YOu dont get natures totem for this.. You get it doing the Wug's quest.
Reward for this one is Forest Jewl.
You can't mess it up. I killed Lucan by mistake and he dropped the jewl for me. He also dropped the branch which I gave to Torrace.
I'm 25th lvl now and have been working on my epic.
You'll be ok.

yesterday I got this quest, and talked to Lucan and went back and killed Ciar, the trouble is that although I took the branch back to Torrance, I sold the Jewel of the Forest (doh). I just really wasn't expecting anything to be given at a point that appeared to be mid-quest. I carried on and gave Torrance the branch, but although I got the experience for the quests, I didn't get any additional item. Who actually gives the Natures Totem, and have I irrevocably screwed up getting my "epic" quest right at this point, or is there anything I can do to recover from here?

I was wondering if the jewelry and magic items obtained by this quest, and others for that matter, are usuable for only a few levels. Is it just like the armor, with grey, green, blue, yellow, orange, red and beyond levels of usage? When it says magic lvl 1 or 2 or 3 does that mean after you advance in levels, you cannot use these items any more?

THe max level is wrong. I did it yesterday as a level 22 druid.

The max levels listed in the quests is the max level that you gain experience for the quest, not the max that you get a item or cash reward.

I figured out something about the epics. They are not based upon your class, but more YOUR Path. Take a look at this list:
Path of Essence: Nightshade, Bard, Enchanter, Champion
Path of Harmony: Druid Mentalist, Blademaster
Path of Focus: Eldritch, Hero, Ranger, Warden
So, for instance if you are a Ranger and your friend is a Hero you will BOTH have the same epic quest.

This is the also the level 7 blademaster trainer quest. The guardian is directly in the patch of dead tress aross the river from Connla. Cia says kill him.
I decided to talk to him instead of kill him, and he instructed me to kill Ciar. Killed Ciar and that led into this quest.

I am pretty sure this quest is for more than just Druids. I am a level 7 Blademaster and have received it also.

I did this quest as a Mentalist, having received it from my trainer in Tir na n�g. I spoke to Ciar, but then foolishly, I killed Lucan without talking to him. The Enchanting Willow quest ended right there, and the Dying Favor quest began. I received a dead oak branch from the dying Lucan, who told me to give it to the Druid at the tower.
Upon doing so, I received a magical ring with some stat boosts, and was reprimanded for my foolish actions. Apparently, I had killed the only one who knew how to stop Ciar, and that she would only grow stronger now that she was free. The Druid said it was now up to me to find a way to kill her. So I went back over there and melted her brain, but all I got was a bag of coins, so I am not sure that was the Druid meant.
All the quests are marked as completed, however, so I guess I will just let it go.

I did this one as a Mentalist also. I talked to Lucan and then killed Ciar. I got a ring with +int +dex so I think you got the same reward in the end anyway.
