DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. This quest is the 3rd installment of the Red Dagger quest. It starts by speaking to Lynnleigh on the island near Vasudheim. She speaks to you about the [Thane's blood]. Get used to that name, you'll be typing it a lot. She then asks you to go and speak to ALL the smiths of Midgard to learn about the Thane's Blood. Of course, you want to start at the smith in Haggerfel, Genlu Edrill. Since you've spoken with him earlier, he remembers you when you asking about [Thane's Blood], and tells you to try Kol Smithir, the smith in Huginfell. Kol is tired of talking about the legend, and tells you to go talk to the smith in Audliten. His name is Dahn, and he believes in the Thane's Blood. He says he will help you, and then says he cannot tell you where the axe you seek is, but he can help you fashion a container to hold the Thane's Blood. He says he requires three items, all from Yggdra Forest: (They all con blue to a level 26 Skald.) Kill these things, then return to Dahn in Audliten. When you give the items to him, he tells you to go to the Gythja of Bragi and "curtsey all nice like" and tell her that "the Thane's Blood flows from many hands". After you do this, she gives you a reward and will tell you to return to her when you have gotten stronger (level 30 or so). Official hint (From Camelot Herald): Players stuck on step 9 that can't get the NPC to respond to [Thane's blood] need to make sure they're using the correct punctuation and try simply right clicking on her. You must be level 25. In New Frontiers you'll find the three you need nicely huddled together in Yggdra Forest very close to Vindsaul Faste.
As you leave VF bear to the left of the huge boulder and continue down the snowy trench (don't bear to the right of the boulder as all mob's were purple to me at 25). As it opens up you'll find the cold light, chisler and flurry practically in the shadow of VF.
Sorry no /loc but they are so easy to find.
Conned blue/yellow to level 25.

found flurry in uppland... as well as the other 2
the first 2 (chiseler and cold light) are right outside sf, ez to find... roam a lil, but just follow the road straight, i only found 1 flurry, it was at 54758/44643 uppland... about a 30-40 second jog to relic keep on ur right, hes hard to see, so look closly... also found a Jaku out there, named nip mephit

You have to speak to Lynnleigh first to get the quest... then speak to the different smiths to continue the quest.
Speaking directly to Dahn in Audliten won't work, he won't talk to you without unless you speak to Lynnleigh first and get the quest.
Once you speak to Lynnleigh first, then you can skip the other smiths and jump directly to Dahn in Audliten.

Where the heck is the flurry? I hunted Yggdra for about a week real time off and on. I hunted the flurry seriously for about 2 days..still nothing. I went to Uppland, followed all directions and advice...still nothing...I don't think it should be this hard to find a level 23 NPC..I mean ...geesh. If anyone actually has a valid /loc and time please post it :)

i think i've killed more than 400 skells ... everytime with the message the dverge like me more but the still agressive on me... spend more than 6 hours only killing skells .. please helo...cant see skells anymore

Hi there. Just killed the three mob's and returned to Bahn, who sent me to Bragi. Talked to Bragi and got the BP. I remember Bahn saying to return to him for a gift. I can't get him to talk, and the Thane's blood. statement doesn't activate him. Did I miss something?

go to the bragi after you reached lvl30, she sends you to muspel, find the seer of the blah, swin through the lava under the bridge, i've found her there - she will walk down there.. or take someone with u to pull her..
make sure to equip the juwel, then go to her.. she talks a bit, then attacks you.. kill her, get thane's blood.. carry it to the dverge / duegar smith.. if they attack you, kill skells till they quit kicking your ass.. then equip the axe and the juwel and talk to the smith inside the house.. give him the axe, then give him the juwel, recieve whatever he gives to you, and ... err.. whatever.. seems like thats it, if i come back to the ghytjia-or-whatever-she-calls-herself of bragi, nothing happens.. but thats the walkthough so far..
have phun, i like my zerker axe - just 10,5dmg, but +1 axe, +2 lft axe and +7 strengh! *rule*

I got the quest. ask the smiths of midgard if they know of [Thane�s Blood]. i cant get the smidts to talk to me. tryed /say thanes blood. Thane�s blood. know of Thane�s Blood and you know of....ect. no response. tryed hagger,vasud,mularn, audil, and hugin. nothing.

found cold light (conned yellow), chisler (conned blue), and flurry (conned yellow), all you do is go in Yggdra Forest (best to do this in morning to avoid snipers)follow road to left and there they are. The flurry took a little while they spawn at night he is at end of rd to right before lake.

after several hours of wandering ygg ......
finally found flurry at time=23:00 and loc = 46000,54000 in yggdra forest. and yes, it is really hard to see in the snow.

Flurry is in Uppland, I have hunted there a lot with my zerker. Get out of uppland gates, and take a right at the fork. Run until you get to a little clearing, and to the right are flurries. Hope that helps.

thats not uppland, you'll find none of the buggers there :)
ride to vindsaul, head straight north until the canyon opens out. under the trees on the right side there will be flurries along with the other questmobs

The Secret to by-passing the encounters with the fire giants is..... What i did was traverse the mountainside around towards the Giant Castle Enterence staying well outside of the giants aggro range till i saw the Seer swimming in the lava pool. Jumped in with the Jewel equiped and killed the seer got the axe. Wasnt paying attention on my way out of the lava lake and aggroed a giant. But already had my prize and was an easy way back to hagg :p Now off to the
devrges smith.

ok, to knw the secret of thane`s blood, you must to wear it then chec your journal. it will tell you to speak to the dverges`s smith only if your friendly whit them. if you are not, you must to il some charred skaletons. it took me an hour to find them. after i kill a few, i goes back to the dverges and they attaqued me. maybe its becus charred killed me a few times. i was wearing the axes and the jewel.

You have to wear the jewel, equip the Thane's blood in your right hand to approach the devrges smith. If forgot to wear the jewel or put the thnae's blood in left hand, the smith won't talk to you. When the smith talk to you, you give him the axe and he will ask you to give him the jewel. Then he will give you gauntlets (Stromcalling +2, Strength +12, Quickness +6).
After it, return to Githja of Bragi, receive some gold and experience then quest finish.

I found the seer of ancient dawning once, on the bridge to the fire giant castle, but there are 5 giants guarding the bridge. Does the seer move about or spawn somewhere else? I killed a few giants but it's a fast spawn.

Ok, I got the Thanes Blood, and It just says to "learn the secret of Thanes Blood"... where do I go from here? I took it back to Dahn, and he was nice enough to repair it for me... and the Gythgi of Bragi was no help either.... what do I do now?

the key to the 30th lvl quest is that you have to equip the jewel on your person to get the Seer to drop thane's blood. she will say a short bit before she attacks ya. after getting the axe you will need at least neutral faction with the duegar to finish the quest. kill skels to build this up.

gytha sends you back to dahn. dahn gives you jewel and has you seek out the seer of ancient dawning(loc 546 507)at fire giant castle in musp.
unfortunatly for me she's agro. killing her did nothing.tried handing her the jewel=nothing
