DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different 04.06.05 Per Patch 1.75: - Taldos' Amulet - Taldos and his companions can now be found in East Svealand. Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. You must complete the Traveler's Way quest first. This is the level 11 epic for Thanes. The quests starts when you talk to your trainer after getting you 11th level. Katla in Jordheim who will explain about Taldos and will send you off to retrieve his amulet. Taldos spawns between 12am and 6am in East Svealand at loc=3800, 39000, between the instanced dungeon and the lake.Taldos and his Companions are all yellow and neutral at lvl 11. If you get there early or late one companion will still be hanging around. That is how I found where to look for him. When Taldos asks if you are there to release him or for his amulet say amulet. When he asks if you are there for [wealth] or [good name], for your own sake say good name... or receive this message: "greed in a thane Ill send you back to thor quickly" After you talk to Taldos, go kill Arakane to retrieve Taldos' Amulet. Arakane is now on the back side of the Nisse's Lair island in East Svealand, a blue to at Lvl 11. After you get the amulet you need to go to talk to Taldos again. He spawns in the same place as above, but he spawns at around Midnight til 9 in the morn. Talk to him and give him the Amulet. He gives it back to you and gives you exp. Locs: The new coordinates for Taldos and his Companions are in East Svealand at 3800, 39000, between the instanced dungeon and the lake. Ok guys if your haveing trouble completeing this quest when talking to trainer, its because you need the amulet in your inventory. I just did this, got the amulet found a noob thane leveling on my way to Jord gave him the item then couldnt finish quest. I had to buy another from houseing then my trainer would talk to me. Not sure if you can be wearing it or not, I wasnt. Guess you need the Amulet as proof you released Taldos.

I have done this quest with my Valkyrie and am now stuck on step 4 see Sunnhilda in Jordheim and tell her what has befallen - have spoken to her and don't still have same message - how do I clear this as I now have level 15 quest in my journal

Im a lvl 13 Thane and am trying to do the Taldos' Amulet quest but he wont talk to me! I did the Travelers Way quest and talked to Katla to get the quest but when i click on him it just says hes nuetral but he dosent say anything.Anyone know why? Please help! thanx:)

Taldos spawns at precisely midnight, and i think he respawns at 6:30 in the morning. Dont miss him, or you'll have to sit there and wait for a half hour real time until the next night...

Had Taldos despawn on me half way through the conversation. Happened at about 6.30am game time, so i'm not sure if he currently stays up until 9am..

I'm a lvl 12 Thane and went to go to get the mission from Katla but see will not talk to me to give me the mission. Do I have to do or say something to her or what.

Hehe, I got this quest at lvl20 and I haven't been bothered to do it since (Is it really worth doing at lvl 27 when u can hang around in Varulvhamn???)

u got this quest because u havent been spoken to your trainer in jordheim for a long while , DO IT! its a good advice!

I just completed the quest at lvl 36 so I'm pretty sure ou can do this quest at any lvl higher than 11 and be ok. The coordinates are dead on, but spawn times vary. I showed up @ 8:00 and found nothing but his companions. Show up around midnight for best results.

This is not about giving the amulet back to your trainer. This is about liberating taldos. Which means to kill him, according to arakane.
I didn't tried because i'm not near taldos, but arakane has convinced me i think;)

Arakane is NOT an arachnid!!! I was looking for a spider.. a tingler.. NOT!!! Arakane is an Arachite Priest.. don't be fooled like I was. Using /loc to find coordinate 7840 14450 and you'll find him. Go North from Gna Faste, turn west just south of Weeping Willows to coordinates. I tried going directly NW from Gna Faste and at lvl 16, you have to dodge almost everything. If you're still at step #1, to find Taldos he's at 28223 5296, follow directions above. Safe Journey. Ptarg Draakul.

The mobs aren't as bad as people say, I am level 14, and all I saw was a group of weeping willows, and some arachites, as long as you stay on the road by the weeping willows, and don't have bad faction with the arachites, Arkane is easy finding.

Head North from Crossroads then East along bottom of hill. You will go between two hills with a tree in the middle. Taldos' Spawns on other side to the right. To find Arkane the message about finding the Weeping willows is dead on.

its very easy, i`ve done the quest with lev 12.
Arkane is very close to the entrance of spindahalla. Near a fallen tree.

The maximum level you can be to do this quest is 16th not 15th lvl. The only reason why I know is because I just started & finished it @ 16th lvl with the help of this board... :)

Arakane can't be due west. He may be to the west somewhere, but when you go due west from Taldos, I never ran into anything but spooks, and envy drakes. Kept going past them and all I ever ran into was a mountain. You have to go north or south somewhere along the line as it can't be straigh west from him.

Ok, I've been west of Taldo's location, nothing. And i don't know how to use the /loc, what do they mean? Someone told me it's in spindella (sp), is this true.

The thane trainer will tell you that Taldos spawns in the morning before daylight. Forget about that. I found him at 18:30 the first time, and about 20:00 the second time.

Taldos: Myrkwood Forest 28225 5298
Arakane: Myrkwood Forest: 7840 14450.
Math: "West" would mean that your North-South coordinate would hardly move. It changes by 9000 loc points!

Ok I follwed the road north of Galphen. When the road takes a left back down to Gna Faste where do I go from there. I went NW that took me to a small fort on the right side of the road. Need help...finding Taldos.

If you reach the crossroads at the north west tip of the lake next to Galplen, head directly NW from the crossroads. You'll know you're near when you see a lot of Taldo's Companions around (cons yellow at lev 12).
He spawns right next to a tree in that area, so keep an eye out, at any time during the night.
The crystal area where the thief is are yellow mobs at 12, and can be found easily too. Explore directly west, once you have ran for about 20-30 secs south of the crossroads. It shouldn't be too hard to find, certainly not as hard as Taldo's himself.

How true!! - I said money too and was killed right on the spot. Fortunately it didn't end the quest - just had to go back the next night and answer correctly.

I must have gotten real lucky. I went due west from Taldos to the crystal towers. I never came across a single mob that conned higher than blue at level 11. When I reached the towers, the only mob there was Arakane who was walking right towards me. After a 30 second battle, I was only my way back to Taldos with the amulet.

Where does Aracnid spawn? Ive searched the area where he spawns, but cant find him.

If you look on your map, go to the very northwestern tip of the lake between Gna Faste and Galplen. Not far from the intersection that would take you north to Fort Atla. On the shore of this part of the lake is a bunch of Weeping Willows. Find them and you'll know you are heading in the right direction. Once you get there, head due West. Watch out for Tinglers when you get off the road. The landscape gradually slopes upward. Just over the crest of this slope you'll see the crystal tower dead ahead, and a fallen tree just off to your right. Arakane spawns right by that tree. Be carefull over there. It can be dangerous depending on your level. Arakane himself, wasn't very dangerous though.

Be careful when you go seeking the thief. The area is highly populated with yellow through red mobs.
