Hill Cat Hunt -- Savage Version

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. You must complete the Traveler's Way quest before getting this one. This is the level 11 epic for Savages. This quest is planned out and played just the same as the Warriors but with different wording and dialogue. Jaakko says, "Hail Mavador! Kelgor grants skill in battle to those who train as hard as you. Now it's time to put that skill to another use. Kelgor wishes you to go [on the hunt] for some exclusive creature." Dialog box: Do you wish to participate in the Hill Cat Hunt? Jaakko says, "Kelgor wishes you to go hunt for hill cats! Prove your skill in battle. Get me five teeth from the hill cats to prove you are a member of the house of Kelgor!" Go hunt down five hill cats and it can't be small hill cats but actual hill cats! You will receive a cat tooth for each hill cat you kill. The hill cats con yellow at 11th level. Return to Jaakko and give him each hill cat tooth. Jaakko says, "I have given you a task! Prove yourself worthy or be gone from the house of Kelgor! Go get five hill cat teeth!" Jaakko says, "I asked for five teeth to prove yourself to Kelgor. I hope you have more!" Jaakko says, "This would be enough, if you were a puny child, but you are a follower of Kelgor! Go now and get more!" Jaakko says, "This is good, but Kelgor still wants more!" Jaakko says, "This is good, but Kelgor still wants more!" Jaakko says, "Kelgor is pleased, but he [wants more proof] that you have earned your place in the house of Kelgor." You are awarded 7,964 experience! Jaakko says, "The Viking Karl cannot deal with a problem he is having. Go speak to him and show him that Savages are strong!" Seek out Viking Karl at the guard tower in the mountains and aid him in his problem. Viking Karl is located at 17500, 49700 in front of the guard tower. Viking Karl says, "You are from Jaakko, are you not? He said he would send one to help me [with hunting] an evil creature." Viking Karl says, "The vile beast Hrrgyf has feasted on many of my men. Jaakko claims that this hill cat will not feast upon a Savage. Kill Hrrgyf and bring me her tooth, as proof of your deed. She roams the mountains near here." Kill Hrrgyf and bring the tooth back to Viking Karl. Viking Karl says, "Take this small reward with my thanks. I must now see to training my men better and you must return to Jaakko. He wishes to speak to you." You are awarded 3 silver and some copper. Return to Jaakko to show your loyalty. Jaakko says, "Viking Karl sent word you have killed the mighty Hrrgyf. Kelgor is pleased that you have proved yourself in battle. Be ready, for Kelgor shall call upon you again!" You are awarded 15,928 experience! You receive a Necklace of Savage Strength from Jaakko! You have finished the Hill Cat Hunt quest. Reward: |

Jaakko won't give me the quest. I'm a lvl 16 Savage already.
Which lvl 7 quest did you do? Traveler's Way or Helping Dalea. If it was Helping Dalea than you will need to do the Dark Essence quest in Aegir's Landing. If it was Traveler's Way then you'll need to /appeal in game to get it fixed.

I found Hrrgyf at approximately 11100, 27000 high on the hill NE from the Darkness Falls portal.

It took me a long time to find him for I was looking the wrong place for most of it. I found him between the lake and Darknesfalls Port. Search that area.
