DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. For 25th, go to the barkeep in Galplen and she will ask you to kill to kill a witch in Skona Ravine. Go west out of Gna Faste, West past the Werewolf fort and into Skona. In Skona, hug the northern wall and travel west. About 4/5th the way across the zone, you get to a cliff overlooking a lake. Stay on top of the cliff, but turn SE and follow the edge of the cliff/hill. The witch should be a 30 second walk that direction standing under a tree (loc= 20.5k, 9k). She cons blue to a lvl26. Kill her , then go back to the barkeep in Galplen and show her the book you get from the witch, and she'll send you back to Masrim in Ft. Alta. Rewards: Rewards: |

The witch can now be found just east of the Northern guard tower in Myrkwood

Not even close. The "Witch" (which is the name floating over this target)
was at a hill quite a distance to the east at 25121,5480.
The tower isn't visible at all, not even slightly, from the hill this Witch is on.

An alternate way to get there is to take a horse from Gna to west Skona. That takes you to /loc 23,23 Then just walk almost directly north across the ravine to the above LOC. Watch out for aggro ( as usual ) especially the Ra of Pine directly to the south, and you should be fine. It's a fairly short walk ( shorter than walking all the way from gna )

why do i hae the first steps of the quest? i just cleared my quest back log, went and got my shadow leggins and then i got this stuff about go talk to bar kep person. is the witch still lvl 25?

For those who aren't sure what a lace tree looks like, follow the cliff face SE until you come to the main ravine. Stop at the top and turn to the East, you should see a couple of Moss maidens, possibly a tree spirit too near a big V shaped dark brown tree. The witch conned blue to me at 25, drew her with arrows, she called for help but none came.
Strongest thing I saw in the area was an orange Moss Maiden, other than that a couple of yellow rats/badgers....nothing major. The witch tried to cast, but my level 20 Great Tingler interrupted her, so no clue how strong her spells are...fairly basic, fairly easy kill....great reward :)

Hi I just finished this quest with my SB. We get a shadowed vest which is leather. Its a really good vest.

It doesn't make sense... Hunters can wear Studded, yet us Shadowblades can't. Does it change into plain leather at that point?
Shadowblades are not able to wear studded as they can get higher in the Evade skill. Hunters are stuck at Evade I.

Found her at 21342, 8264.
Top of the cliff...not down near the water.
Near one of those weird lace trees. Easy kill if you keep pumping arrows into her. She casts so watch out. She also called for help twice...so that might be trouble for someone.
The directions listed above are near perfect. Follow the wall into Skona (the one where all the shrieking willows are). Don't go up on the wall, just follow along with the wall at your right. Then when you come to the cliff edge in front of the lake, turn SE, and head towards that lace tree. There is a small hill there, that's where I found her.
Watch out for aggressive wood rats and other such that are right around there.
