DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest. This is the level 40 Academy Epic Quest. It starts off at your trainer, who tells you that Master Vismer is in need of you again. When you go to talk to Master Vismer he gives you a scroll and asks you to find a tower in Camp Forest. The tower is that of the Lethanis Association and when you step onto the East Platform (North Platform has been mentioned as well.), you are teleported to Snowdonia, a few paces from where Lady Nimue spawns. Give the scroll you received from Vismer and Lady Nimue tells you that your next step is to retrieve the Staff of Enlightenment from Cornwall where is resides in the hands of a long lost emperor. Travel to Cornwall and the Catacombs and work your way down to the Forgotten Emperor (near /loc 25069, 27129.) When you kill him you receive the Staff of Enlightenment. In order to proceed you must wield the Staff, whereupon it tells you to go to Lethanis to find out what comes next. When you get to Lethanis, stand on the North Platform and the Staff tells you to travel to the Teleport Platform in Forest Sauvage. Traveling there gets the Staff to tell you that the Arc of Ages you are looking for is in Hadrian�s Wall guarded by undead Roman Centurions. Or you stand on the north platform with the scroll and the east with the staff. We have gotten reports of both ways. Could be different for each class. Travel to Hadrian�s Wall and along the road is the fallen aqueduct (NEW FRONTIERS loc=32k,13k). One of the fallen pieces looks like a perfect Arc. Around it will be 5 undead Centurions. There is no need to fight them. If you can survive for 5 seconds, standing underneath the Arc will kill the Cents. After they are dead the Staff will be replaced by a Tome of Summoning. Take the Tome to Master Vismer and he rewards you with a Weapon of your choosing. For Minstrels, we had a choice between a Thrusting or a Slashing weapon. The Slashing weapon is known as Deathtale. Rewards: Mistrel-- Deathtale Sorceror -- Staff of Body Manipulation, Staff of Matter Manipulation, Staff of Mind Manipulation Wizard -- Staff of Earthen Delight, Staff of Frozen Tears, Lusterous Staff of the Leaping Flame Rewards: |

Found the forgotten emperor in Catacombs close to /loc 25069, 27129. Supposedly he is in the Catacombs until your toon reaches level 46. From level 46 and up he may be found supposedly west of the Catacombs. However, I haven't tried looking for him at level 46 and above. I did find him at this location at level 45.

The Loc for the NF 'Arc is 32k / 13k in Hadrian's. Ruins with several legionairs and commanders around. Kill one and get credit.

Wow, I tried this and almost made it but encountered creatures way beyong what a lvl 40 wizzie should have to see! :-)
I may have gone a route that is just not realistic- Castle Sauvage, North through the Forest and the Pennine Mountains.
Is there a route that is safer, like East from Snowdonia? It seems like walking is the only option and I have yet to find a route that I can survive.

I did this quest with a few short cuts.....After I got the scroll from the master I went straight to the lady of the lake in Avalon Marsh and give it to her, she spawns at night. Then straight to the catacombs. If you are a wizard stay on the ramp that leads into his area and pick them off one at a time, i shoot his 2 guards then him. They didnt BAF on me from there. Take out the forgotten emperior and you will have his staff. If you enter the room they will attack you in a group. You shouldnt have to. Take the staff to the east wing of Lethantis Tower hold it and then off to the port pad at Savauge hold it again, then off to the wall.

go to the bestiary and find the /loc for Lady Nimue. I just did that instead of trying to get the teleport msg to work from the Lethantis Tower.

I have only used the Camp Forest Lady Nimue for quests, she tends to spawn a little after midnight in game. YOu can find her along the banks of the lake, she has a pulsating torch spell around her that shoots into the sky. A pretty good beacon.

I stood on the North platform and waited until about midnight and the message pops up. Lady Nimue only pops at night so I guess you will just have to wait until night to be teleported.

u can find that forgotten emperor at 9k,58k in cornwall. thats inside a wood behind western cornwall (not that one with the boogeys, the one bit more west)

I have tried to go through the arc during many different times of the day and night with no luck. There are also no bad guys there like it says there will be. What am I doing wrong to get the tome?

I've done this quest step 4.
Then, staff told me go to warp stone inside Castle Savage.
After reach Castle Savage, staff told me "Goto Arc".
How can I reach that final Arc??

You have to go on the North platform of Lethantis DURING THE NIGHT! It's near midnight that you will have the pop up box appearing!

First I am from Germany so sorry for my bad english.
I had the same problems as told above.
I went to the north platform and nothing happend.
Solution:
I drag the scroll in my hotbar and activated it.
Then the dialogue box appeared.

their was an invisible barrier to the north steps for me but walking round the base of the tower (on the ground) worked for me. I chose mind staff, basically its a crappy focus staff with 33 hits. Not as good as the sorcerers slender ebony staff from the Barrows, so i doubt if ill even use it :/, dissapointed

O.k according to the instructions that I got from this particular website..I walked onto the East Platform..but it didn't teleport me anywhere...Am I suppose to go get the amulet of the planes or is there a certain time that I should be ported???

Stuck on second step ---- in german Version 1.48 the magical words are [einfache Schriftrolle] so it seems to be [simple scroll] but nothing more happens .... who can help me ?

the wiz reward is focus staf of ___ (fire, cold or earth), gives 33 focus to earth and cold, 43 focus to fire (if u choose fire staff)

I have a bug and cann�t accept the Quest and start with the Mouse but I have to say the Keyword.

As far as I know "prepared to assist the academy" works in the German Version.

Same here I had to walk S-L-O-W-L-Y up the steps several times. Finally I took the steps 1 at a time walking diagonally and the message box "You are about to be teleported...Accept/Decline" Naturally hitting accept sent me to Snowdonia and the Lady Nimue. Needless to say being alone trying to make my way back I died. Now on to the Catacombs!

It is also the north for Sorcerers. I had to go up the steps slowly four times before it worked.

Sometimes it bugs, at least on 1.45. Try reloggin on the forum with the scroll you have.
