How do I get to Abermenai?

Hi guys,
Newbie question: how do I find my way to Abermenai? It's the RvR battleground for lvl 15-19 folks right?

Yes, it is referred to as BG0 (battleground zero).
To get to it, go to Ligen, buy a battlegrounds ticket from the vendor near the bindstone (Arisia, I think), and stand in the teleportation circle.
Glasny will walk down the steps and stand for a min or 2, then teleport you.
To get back w/o dying, there is an archway inside the keep you are teleported to (called hpk - Hib portal keep); just walk into the arch and you will be ported back to Ligen.

Now I have another question: so how do I get to Ligen? 
I can't seem to find it on any map. It's in the Shrouded Isles somewhere I'm guessing?

Uhhh no, Ligen is in the original area. You can get a ticket there from connla or Tir na Mbeo..prob else where to..I just can't remember.

Exit TNN at north entrance, then head almost due north until you hit the river. Cross the river and head NE a bit and you will be at DL

Either that or exit TNN and head over to mag mell...then just follow the road north..it will take you to the front door.

If you spend a lot of time in SI, and it sounds like you do (as you should, the exp, money, and loot is 3X better), just buy a ticket to Drum Ligen from the person standing by the warpgate that goes from SI to the Original world.

Since I'm asking you guys questions, might as well ask this:
What advice do you have for a first time RvRer? Are there certain keeps that that are good to "learn the rope" on? Should I just try to find a group and follow them around?

Wait until level 19 before going in. The majority of the people you face will be on the higher-end of the 15 to 19 spectrum and will eat you alive. Whereas if you hold off until level 19, you can go toe to toe with even level tanks and hold your own (pure tanks won't have that much of a HP / weaponskill advantage over you at this point and your valor debuffs will give you an edge). In addition you may find some level 15s and just mop them up like yard trash! =)
