Ok, did a quick test with an old char copy of my necro (3L5 and crap gear? cant believe i used to be at that point  ), and purchased Purge 2 and dueled a minstrel who stunned my pet while he was meleeing. I hit purge about 1-2 seconds after the stun, and the pet resumed meleeing immediately!
Looks like weve got a working purge!
Going to test my new char copy later tonight to test Purge 3 and other items like NS, debuffs, etc.

-Casted Stun : Removes Stun immediately
-Casted Stun immunity: Untested
-Melee Stun: Removes Melee stun immediately
-Melee Stun immunity: Immunity lasts normal melee duration, pet did not seem to even phase when slammed with immunity up
-Mez: Untested
-Mez immunity: Untested
-Root: Removes instantly
-Root immunity: Immunity lasts 60 seconds
-NS: Removes NS immediately
-NS immunity: Immunity lasts 60 seconds
-Snare: Removes instantly
-Snare immunity: Immunity lasts 60 seconds
-Casted DoTs: Removes DoT instantly
-Melee DoTs(bleeds): Removes Bleed instantly
-Disease: Removes disease instantly
-Stat Debuffs: Removes instantly
-Haste debuff: Removes instantly
-Resist debuffs: Removes instantly
-Battler: Untested

Ok, did a quick test this morning with my fresh charcopy of my 6L5 necro.
Tested Purge 3 against level 50 sorcerer.
First test - Mez/debuffs + self buffs on pet - Im not too sure what order the sorc did this, but after being mezzed, it broke almost immediately and I think it was because of debuffs right afterwords. So, this test wasnt the best for it. Couldnt tell if debuffs were removed with purge. Had to test a few times whether there might have been a bug with mezz that it would drop without demezzing or purge, and there was no bug, just the debuffs breaking it looks like.
Second test - Debuffs off sorc and no buffs to clearly see negative effects - This got rid of the negative effects and worked perfectly for it!
Next up and hopefully when I get home tonight I can test it, but im going to test Nearsight, other forms of debuffs, DoTs, RA/artifact effects (battler, etc). May need to get someone to load up a hib/mid to use them on the necro.
But so far, everythings looking good for purge!

Yup the real question is if we get inmmunity timers at all else we will be perma nearsighted even with purge 3.

Ill try to test that out tonight as well... didnt have my necro last night, and only enough time for 1 test this morning.
So, current things stuff tested/left to test:
-Casted Stun : Purge works
-Casted Stun immunity: Untested
-Melee Stun: Untested
-Melee Stun immunity: Untested
-Mez: Untested
-Mez immunity: Untested
-Root: Untested
-Root immunity: Untested
-NS: Untested
-NS immunity: Untested
-Snare: Untested
-Snare immunity: Untested
-Casted DoTs: Untested
-Melee DoTs(bleeds): Untested
-Stat Debuffs: Tested - Works
-Resist debuffs: Untested
-Battler: Untested
Please list any other possible suggestions here guys and ill try to test it.
If anyone wants to help out feel free. Please list some details of the test such as classes involved or anything directly related to what is occuring. If it doesnt seem to directly effect what you can see (pets stunned, NS, etc), please make sure you leave pet unbuffed and check for negative effects.
Going to put the 'whats tested' stuff on first post, and update as we get results guys!

Did most of the tests that I have listed atm, and can do a few more... but wanting to test FZ first. Ill finish the rest that im able to do tonight.
Only major thing i cant test atm is Battler debuff or something similar (malice maybe). If anyone has a hib/mid that has one or both, or maybe other artifacts that negatively effect players and work on the necro pet, let me know and we can test it asap!

Purge might be useful for stun, but for mez, you already have a demez that only takes a few seconds to cast (did they shorten timer without a patch note?)
