It has been a while since I posted this so here goes.
MoM improves damage directly
Net effect of MoM0 to MoM5 is:
> 0%, 2%, 4%, 7%, 11%, 15%
Aug acuity increases intelligence.
> 4, 12, 22, 34, 48
This in turn increases power pool and spell damage.
From testing with intelligence near 300, the damage increase was about 1% per 5 points.
Net effect of AA0 to AA5 on damage is:
> 0.0%, 0.8%, 2.4%, 4.4%, 6.8%, 9.6%
Wild Power increases the chance of getting a critical hit.
Base chance for our deathsight and death servant spells is 3%.
So resulting chance of critting is:
> 3%, 6%, 12%, 20%, 30%, 42%
An RvR crit is 10% to 50% of spell damage: 30% average
So the average damage from crits for WP0 to WP5:
> 0.9%, 1.8%, 3.6%, 6%, 9%, 12.6%
The relative improvement is for WP in RvR is:
> 0.0%, 0.9%, 2.7%, 5.1%, 8.0%, 11.6%
In PvE the average crit is 10% to 100%: 55 average%.
The relative improvement for WP in PvE is almost double the RvR gain:
> 0.00%, 1.77%, 5.30%, 10.02%, 15.91%, 22.99%
WP also has the added benefit of catching the RvR opponent off guard.
Summary
In PvE WP>MoM>AA
In RvR MoM>WP>AA
The surprise factor of WP is also a benefit.
In general you will want to invest in WP and MoM first.
AA might be a good buy later, when more WP and MoM is really expensive.
You might skip AA altogether and get more toughness, NM or Ichor.

Does MoM affect all spells?

Exceptions:
1) Damage shield. This spell is not affected by MoM or WP
2) DoTs. These are barely affected by MoM or increased acuity. The stated increases do not apply here. Prior to June 2004 MoM did not affect our DoTs at all.

That's... some of the most usefull stuff I've seen in a long while. Thanks Redh.
Question, though - would the amount of intelligence you have to begin with affect how much aug int helps out? IE if I only had 100 int, would the effect of getting aug int be greater than if I had 300?

I did my testing of damage vs AA for intelligence in the 250 to 300 range.
I think that is typical of what most necros will run.
Assume
1) Level 50 inconnu
2) 10 to 15 intelligence at creation (15 = most likely)
3) 75 to 101 acuity from gear (75 = most likely)
4) 0 to 81 acuity from cleric buff (81) [edit to fix this line]
5) 0 to 48 acuity from aug acuity (0)
1) 115 INT
2) 125-130 (130 most likely)
3) 200-231 (205)
4) 200-312 (286)
5) 200-360 (286)
I do not think that the effect of intelligence from Aug Acuity is any different than intelligence from gear or buffs.
You could run a test yourself and see how much an effect you see when you remove a piece of +int gear, or remove the buff bonus gear from your cleric.

PBAE spells are handled differently with WP I assume. I get crits but very rarely.
Ill hit 10 targets with the PBAE necro nuke and maybe one gets a crit. I assume they lower the crit percentage on these purposefully.
OK so it must be some kind of divisor as i got wp1 and my crit amount did not go up a noticable amount. I saw the same effect on my mana chanter SO i am guessing it is pbae nuke in general.
The bummer of this is that it appears to do the same thing vs 10 targets as it does vs 1 target. How much WP does it take to get the crit percentage up to a noticable level?
Is this my imagination? If not is MoM reduced in a similar manner?
Is the PBAE DoT reduced.

If you have WP2, then getting one crit per PBAoE on 10 targets is about what you would expect.
How much WP do you have?

Well it may be my imagination but it seems to me that even without WP i get more crits with single target nukes then i do with PBAE's. Just looking for some kind of confirmation.
Maybe i just have a bad taste in my mouth from getting wp3 with my minstrel and seeing basically no effect in the shouts.
I will log it and see. I just wanted to know if there was something known about how this works with PBAE as it doesnt feel right.

Another good thing with WP is that if you are Deathsight that extra damage from crits when your insta life taping can really help out and turn the fight in your direction.

In some ways, I find WP isn't really worth it for a servant specced necro. I have WP2 now, and all it means is that one or two mobs from the pile of 10-15 I pull die first. I still have to use pow to keep the DS up, and the ones it doesn't crit on are still up.

Hloden what about MoM?
I see your point though. Thoughness may be better so the pet will stay up longer. I often find that after the pbae nukes most of the mobs are just about dead and i just need a few more hits on the DA to do the trick.
