How does necro stat items transfer to pet?

Hey guys,
I spent about 40 min digging on a 20k dialup and didn't find what I needed. And until I get my DSL running again, I'll try to rely on your collective wisdom.
My questions:
What kind of gear should I wear and how does my shade's gear affect the pet?
My dex will affect my casting of instant spells (lifetaps) but what can make the pet cast faster?
Also, I usually fully buff my bot and pet (minus acuity) then sling acuity and d/q on the shade. Is this the way to go?
Been gone from necroing a LONG time and would appreciate any insight on these questions and any other things I might need to know. I'm currently level 31 and so is the bot.

(There is no diffirence in buffing before and buffing after summon!!!)
Dex Dex/Qui Acu on you.
Everything outside Spec AF and Acu on the pet.
For stats. All resists travel over to the pet and Str, Con, Dex, Qui (not 100% on qui) and Hits.
The thing about stats and buffs. The stats travel on summon. The Buffs dont. So if you have maxed con, maxed hits when you summon the pet. Then take off all your con items and replace it to max dex and int the con and hits will stay on the pet untill it dies.

to clarify;
QUI does not effect pet
STR has only marginal effect on the servants melee damage.
ONLY hit from +Con & +hits on items transfer at summoning, all other stats that transfer are added or removed when the item is equiped or unequiped.
