Summoning Suit Debate

Ok, tonight I got into a discussion with a guildie about summoning suits. Basically, he thinks the idea is BS, and we have a bet going on about whether or not they work. He thinks that a necro pet should have a certain amount of HP and that +con and +hp items shouldn't help at all because crack doesn't help chanter pets regen power faster... Anyways, has Mythic ever commented on this subject?

Without facts it is really hard to conclude an argument.
Two quick duels will show him whether this works.
One using some +hits/con gear at summoning.
One without.
Add up the total amount of damage required to kill the bomy.

What about the effects of con and dex buffs on pets...increase af? abs?
Necro Noob so is all new to me... but i understand the concept....

This is an old sore point with the necro community.
What should work for my necro? and how?
There are several patch notes that mention what does transfer to the servant. Some of these (like +quickness) are in error. None of them discuss whether the transfer is dynamic or static (remains after summoning). Check out Necrognomicron or similar site for some old test discussions.

These effects were all determined by tens of hours of testing by several players.

Doubt Mythic would comment on it, ro comment correctly. I doubt even Mythic knows how the Necromancer works, they srue opened Pandora's Box with this class  .

when you spec in toughness it makes the pet have more hp too right or does it make it have more abs? thats the one thing i dont understand about my pet

ya basiclly dual him with all you hp gear off
then dual again with all of it on it it takes more damage to kill it then it transfers
btw sine when do pets have a powerpool ?

Hmm I didn't think Toughness worked for the pet. I thought it just gave HP to the shade...

Test 1b - Different Summoning Suit, Same Duel Suit
Pet Buffs: None (No cleric buffs/self-buffs)
Summoning Suit: +400hits, +100con
Duel Suit: +120hits, +15con
Total Damage Inflicted - % of hp
1614 - 76%; Total HP=2123.68
1491 - 71%; Total HP=2100.00
1192 - 57%; Total HP=2091.23
530 - 25%; Total HP=2120.00
422 - 20%; Total HP=2110.00
Pet's Total HP: 2091-2123
While it can be difficult to peg the exact # of hps a pet has as a result of limited data (e.g. the hp-indicator doesn't display decimal values), it's still rather obvious that hp/con do transfer at the time of summoning. Of course, repeated testing is always best to confirm this, and thus others should post their own results as well

With this summoning suit can you take it off once you call the pet? So you have two templates one before you call the bomy and another when your bomy is summoned?

Uvanshe's data close to what I would expect from some of the old test data.
Example:
1320 HP for a level 44 bomy summoned by a naked necro (44 * 30)
+400 HP from +hits on summoning suit
+370 HP from +con on summoning suit (3.7 * 100)
