Is there any difference between the 37 and 49 spec pets?
looking to make my arb spec useful again with his free respec

How does the PBAOE damage compare, can you still farm well with that low a PBAOE spec, or do you have to still go higher for a solid damage PBAOE?

The 48 pbae will certainly do more damage than the 39. Since it's pet based, your resists shoudn't change and you aren't being interrupted, so difference is just a few casts. The bigger impact would be on your abs buffs. You aren't going to gain very much with a higer secondary spec anyways, I'd go 48.
