Thanks for you reply, but that still did not answer my question. Does anyone know?
Also, does anyone know how to set the Z axis on a ground target? I heard there is a way. |

That is an awesome guide!
>>Hehe, you may have been killing the necklace merchant. I do that all the time. First few times I did it I was wondering who the hell this newbie was that was dying in one hit and always got a rez yet still stayed in the MPK. Ah, finally I know what's going on...I was wondering about that guy I kept killing. Btw, I think that a _very_ useful tool for archers of all realms would be an index of useful spots for groundtargets. For example, wouldn't it be nice to know exactly where the inside door of Dun Cruachon is so that you don't have to guess when setting a GT there to interrupt PBAE folks? Another useful guide would be "Spots to Volley From" but frankly I think that's something fun for people to figure out on their own. I sure am happy every time I realize a new, out of the way, spot I can stand when volleying a heavily trafficked route.

I would suggest against a guide for "spots to volley from" - despite it being more fun to find out yourself - does anyone here check out the other realms' epic quest lists on the web and camp out those spots in the frontier to gank the blue/greens?
The mids and hibs on percy do in the Alb frontier - I wouldn't want the volley spots to be the same way? And for all I know, the Alb scouts may do this as well on percy, to the other realms. I just don't have a scout there high enough to know one way or another... I will though eventually cause it took my cleric (then 43)like 20 trips into the frontier til I finally went at 3:30 am my time to finish the epic... once, was zerged by a 100+ mid zerg of blue/green/greys - suckola! Another time, it was a single red chanter that wiped us out (2 pallys and cleric all lvl 43) - so..... ya know where I'll be.... payback time I think

I am not giving away that secret. Learn the best places by exprimentation. Just rember" The higher the farther the better". On Galahad. The forces of midgard used trebuchets to kill the port NPC for albion. Albion was unable to go to any realm other then their own for rvr and we know how unfun albion's frontier is for general rvr.

What I would like to know are some techniques for lining up the lords room in keeps. It seems to me when I keep the ground target on the ground and slide it there it hits people at the bottom of the tower using trebs etc (even though I see the gt jump up to the highest level), and when I adjust elevation to lord level and gently slide it in, watching the point at which the dot enters the wall, it tells me it is too far away, indicating to me the base of the gt jumped up to the level of the lord room. I've tried keeping the gt slightly outside the tower as well, with elevation adjusted up to lord level hoping the radius was wide enough to reach inside but got no hits.
So.. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with this... |

Does anyone know if weaponskill is used to check if the arrows of a volley hit or miss? Or is it based simply on level, like other RA's.
Thanks |

It does. if the arrows falls into a area accupied by a players I have the same chance to hit or miss as I do with normal shots.
IE: Arrow sails into the air you miss Arrow sails into the air You hit a buffbot for 342{-56} Arrows sails into the air but fall in a clear area

I've tried using mousewheel and any combination of buttons i can think of. I still cant find a way to adjust the Z axis on ground targets. I remember a post a long time ago on people being able to do it. Is there no one that remembers how to set the elevation of ground target?

It should be on the mouse wheel...
When you look at the ground target marker, it's made of 2 parts. There's the yellow square with a big black X on it which moves along the ground. There's also a light yellow sphere that starts in the middle of the black X, which should rise up and down when you move your mousewheel. The sphere is the actual position of the ground target, so when you raise it up, you are aiming higher, even though the X stays on the ground. Try it out with the marker right next to you so you can see what's going on. |
