I copied my armsman over to test server and was talking to a 50 inf who had done the same. We decided since he had a bot there to check some of the new things out.
He went and got Viper3 and I can tell you this...wife Lifebane on my amrsman (26% body + 22% from armsman crap, +10% from champ buffs) he was lucky to hit 60-70 a tick on me.
He also noted that spec'd 50dw, 39cs that garrote chain still outdamage ANYTHING in the dual wield line, buy a noticeable margin. 
And I was looking at:
50dw
33slash
39cs
32ste/env
with +18 to all (cept envenom...swap that crap out)
Instead I think I will go
50 polearm
40 crush
27 parry
25 xbow

Tell homeboy to do some real tests and parse it. I've done my own 500+ swing tests and I'm sure as hell going 50DW when the patch comes.

DW will never match CS as long as the styles are landing. You can only make the argument that DW > CS if you make the assumption that AH never lands, the evade chain never lands, you never use the utility CS styles like perf chain or pincer.
And I've done the testing.

I also was looking forward to the 50dw spec. But think I will just do 50cs...40dw and Wyrd the rest of it. Drop down off lifebane and just get teh 47 debuff poison myself.
And wont worry bout any Viper...

There's no reason to be discouraged. You can get 44CS and 50DW.
