Can a Necro Turn Into Shadeform While Being Attacked?

Saw a necro start to cast himself into shadeform at beno just now an I ran over an attacked him, hit him once, started to hit him again an then POP, he turns into shadeform with 1/3 the damage I did to him transferred to his newly arrived abomination.
Im guessing it was just lag or some freak accident. Just one more reason to not solo on any stealther ever I guess. Took some ss's of it cause Im kinda lost an peeved that it happened.

If he QC cast it then yeah he would not get interrupted.
I dont think its normally uninterruptable.

He didnt qc it though, he had no reason to believe anyone would have been around where he was hehe. All i can say is it was lag, bad lag that let him get a spell off about 3 seconds after he was hit. Lame lame lame but probably just bad luck.

necros dont get quickcast, only FP which is cast through the pet.
he had probably already casted the pet and was almost finished when you hit him so it didnt interrupt, cast continued and the pet was summoned.
remember that if you start casting then jump it cancels the animation and makes it look like youre just standing there doing nothing

rr5 allows them to QC them into shade form... i think it lessens the timer from 15 secs to 2-3

Necro rr5 isnt uninterruptible, but thats probably what it was. Like any spell, once you get a certain way through it you can't be interrupted by anything but CC, he was just far enough through the cast when he got hit that it couldnt be stopped.

just some wierd lag happended on my friends necro couple times while I played him getting attack as Im about to finish pet still makes me summon the pet even tho Im suposed to get interrupted and get my summoning cancelled.. and I jump right after I start to summmon the pet so it looks like Im just being a sitting duck there
