What level alch needed to apply level 50 procs?

So say i have 800 alch, can i buy level 50 procs on consignment merchants and apply them to my items using my alch skill?
Any limitations to this, some have told me yes but wanted to make sure before i try for friend and or buy.

That should work without a problem. I haven't seen a proc that a 500 skill alch was unable to apply. Either way, it won't blow up or anything...Only SC has a chance for exploding or losing anything on an imbue.

only thing is the lvl 48 procs from gala/tg/avalon city? (albs SI EPIC Dung) ya need to be LGM to appply

If I get my alchemist to 500 I can purchase ablatives, for example, and apply them to my L51 gear?

I think the general rule is a tincture can be applied by someone with half the skill of the item. The highest tincture is 1094, IIRC, so 550 alchemy would be needed to apply all ablatives. Note that I do not guarantee the accuracy of this in any way.

I thought even a skill 1 alchemist could apply the tincture. The only skill requirements I'm aware of are for making and recharging, not applying. I vaguely remember buying ablatives when i first started and having my next to no skill alchemist put them on my characters' gear myself. It's been 2 years, so I could be totally delusional.

I don't think it's skill 1, I tried applying a celerity weapon tincture with my 150 Alchemist and it wouldn't let me.

nope, have to be at least half the level of the Alchi item, I believe. All I know for sure is that before I reached 500 alch, there were things I couldn't proc, but after 550, I can apply alch items to any armour

The understanding is 500 skill to apply a tincture, but to
recharge one, it's scaled. (If you can recharge one sort of
LV 48 proc, you can recharge any LV 48 proc.)

800 could apply on 50alc,and /agree to daedien,it's half of skill.
But alch-recharge required of skill is 858.(http://www.midnightsojourn.com/recharging.html)
