Bard Confusion Spell - effective in rvr?

Sick to death of trying to search on VN's terribly slow search engine. So I'll just ask:
Does the Bard's Confusion spell line work against charmed Pets, Necro Pets, SM pets, Thuergist Pets, Cabby pets and any other pet, or summoned creature in RvR?
Seeing as I won't take this spell past the lvl 38 version...
Confusing Ballad
Spell Level: 38
Category: Confusion
Target has a chance to switch targets that they are fighting. There is a smaller chance that they will actually attack one of their own allies.
Effect: 100% to switch targets, 60% to turn on enemy
Spell Target: Enemy
Duration: 1 minutes
Casting Time: 3.5s
Recast Time: 0
Range: 1350
Radius: 0
Damage: 0
...I'm not so sure I like the 40% chance it picks another member of my group to hit.
Suggestions, gripes, experiences?

player controlled pets stop from attacking and go back into defensive mode, meaning the owner has to send it again. Sure, you can do a confusion vs. send battle, but it's especially interesting if the owner doesn't notice =)

So Confusion works on Theurg pets and doesn't send them back on their owner; it just puts them into defensive mode??

I find that Albs tend to act confused even without any spells cast on them.

It kills them.
However lately I think I've noticed Ice pets NOT being killed by my confusion even though it's not resisted. My mentalist can kill them fine. Not sure what's up with that.

Confusion kills Theurgist pets outright...they just keel over dead.
Confusion partially works on most other pets by making them stop their attack and go into defensive mode.
Both implementations seem buggy and are not at all documented. I don't think Mythic honestly knows what confusion does/is supposed to do in RvR.

Ok.
Confuse will kill theurg pets immediately if it isn't resisted.
It will make other pets stop attacking.
It is a 3.5 second cast, though, so it is useless. If you are confusing pets, you are not interrupting and mezzing, which means you are *not doing your job*. Let your casters *kill* pets. That is part of *their* job.
Confuse is only a good interrupt if you are a list caster, (read: someone who levels dex and has 400+ lol) or a minstrel, who has insta confuse.

yeah bard confuse kinda slow and sucks power. it can be great on an inc pet or something chasing a caster if ya got the time to cast it. moc clear the theurg pile on ya in a pinch maybe. it also interrupts.

Confusing ML9 pets is worth it. Pet owner often doesn't notice until the pet comes all the way back to them. Otherwise, it's kinda a waste of time/power.

It is nice, but it should be much lower power cost and much faster cast. A thuerg can spam the pets much faster than you can confuse them, so its kinda like why bother, move on to trying to do your other jobs and hope someone can AE them.

I have also noticed it doesn't seem to kill ice pets at times when not resisted?
Can anyone else verify?
