the place to go Mad! The translator cried as he copied his book with care; duly noting each
change at the turn of the tide as he gibbered and pulled out his hair.
Just the place to go Mad! I have said it twice: That alone should discourage your view.
Just the place to go Mad! I have said it thrice: What I tell you three times is true.

In general, effects from spells cast on the necromancer/shade do not
transfer to the pet at any time. Single target spells only have an effect
on the pet when the spell is cast directly on the pet.

Bonuses and Effects from Items
Most item bonuses are applied to the pet Continuously and affect the pet while
the item is worn. A few bonuses only apply on the Summoning of the pet, and the
item can be removed without ill effect afterwards.
In general, weapons only work normally for the necromancer; the shade is unable
to melee and the pet does not use the weapon or inherit any of the weapon's qualities
(DPS, Speed, Quality, Condition, Enchantment Bonus, Proc, Charges).
The same applies to armor, which works normally for the necromancer; the shade
can't be hit in melee and the pet doesn't use the armor or inherit any of the
armor's qualities (AF, Absorb, Quality, Condition, Enchantment Bonus, Reverse Proc, Charges).
Any general bonuses, such as a bonus to Strength, that a piece of armor or a weapon
may possess are applied as is normal for the type of bonus.
Items used directly (charged items, /use, /use2, /interact) function properly
for the necromancer but most cannot be used in shade form. Exceptions exist, such
as water-breathing potions. Effects from items which automatically
apply to the item's user do not transfer to the pet.

Caveat Magus
In some cases, the details concerning when and if something transfers to the
summoned pet have been known to change without warning or comment. In other
cases, even keen discernment may be unable to determine whether or not an effect
transfers. If personal experience suggests something working in a different
manner than presented here, trust experience.
