In the last patch notes:

- In some instances, the Arms Length realm ability would break during combat or spell casting. This has been fixed.

On Pendragon, I tested being able to cast a PBAE while having AL up and AL stayed up the entire time I was PBAEing.

On Live, AL cancelled as soon as I started to PBAE.

I also tested casting my insta Champ Level Melee Resist buff on Pendragon and AL did not go away after I cast the buff.

Looks like we are making some progress. Thank you to everyone who sent in bug reports.

That was definitely unexpected, I was in full agreement that attacking should break AL :P I guess speedwarps still break it, though? Was more hoping for the speed to be unbreakable until duration runs up or we attack, but this is nice too.

are you saying you could complete 1 cast before it broke or that you could keep casting for the duration before it broke?

I was able to PBAE during the entire duration.

Now if i forget to purge snare and I hit AL, i'll have second chance to purge it without AL dropping. Previously purge always canceled my AL.

Since I think some people are misunderstanding this:

The change is that AL isn't broken until you've actually hit something with a spell. As it is on live, AL is broken the moment you start casting. Now with the patch, its broken when the spell lands.

What Gwen's saying is that she can cast PBAE for the whole duration because its not hitting anything. The moment that PBAE does damage, AL is lost.

This is what I'm asking about. So take a speedwarp for example. Can I hit AL and then be able to drop a speedwarp and keep my CC immunity?

Biggest thing that bugs me is I drop speedwarp and rr5 other direction while a charging tank runs right through my speedwarp and catches up to me cause he has more end.

Speedwarp needs to break charge.

Actually I'm pretty sure I hit the test monster with my PBAE when I was testing (I just cut that out of my log along with the you are already casting messages).

I'll check that again tonight with PBAE and DD damage while AL is up.

(or if anyone can test it while I'm at work that would be great also)

Rather that charge being changed which would be a nerf to an otherwise fine(albeit powerful) ability what really needs to happen is that AL needs to mirror charge.


IF SW doesn't impact charge then it shouldn't impact AL.

If SW does impact charge then it should impact AL.

I'd be surprised if that's not a bug--unless they're trying to make it more like Charge?

Thank you for double checking. I will ask.

Checking the Herald again, this is the description for AL:

"10 second unbreakable burst of extreme speed."

Doesn't say anything about doing an action will break it like the SoS description states:

"Group ability that allows unstoppable speed 4 movement for the listed duration. Gives immunity to stun/snare/root and mesmerize spells. If the spell has a damage component, the target will take damage but be immune to the stun/snare/root or mesmerize. It breaks with any action taken except healing. (Will be negated by speedwarp.)"

And Yes, I agree with Vyx about Speed Warps. If they are trying to make the ablity fit the description, then SWs should not affect it.
