Hi, I am not sure if/when it may have been addressed before, but is there a reason we do not get pets similar to SM? I mean in type etc.....Why is it not possible to get a firby companion? or shar, etc?
Add a bit of variety pls Mythic.....the same two types of pet races/no weapon variance is lame I think.

The reason we only get 2 kinds of races on pets is becasue there are only 2 races that can be enchanters.

I was also under the impression that we couldnt get the other races cause they would hit harder based on the base stats of the races celt 60 firby 90 shar 60 n so on...
elf/luri are 40

yeah, the argument about the class races allowed doesn't work by simply looking at the SM. The same goes for the base stats thing. I have played a SM briefly and I know there are definitely better pet types and weapons for both SM and bonedancers.
I am more curious than anything, mainly because as I level my chanter it keeps tickling my mind that a firby would be a better focus pet to use.
Might this be something that could be added to the team report? Wouldnt hurt to get an answer about it at least. Not sure how much anyone else is concerned with this though.

They should allow us to choose what type of pet we summon.
Summon -> elf -> release
Summon -> elf -> release

Summon -> lurikeen -> /cheer
Spamming full bar of mana to get luri pet is not fun 
Same thing with my SM. I _always_ seem to get 2-3 trolls when i start to summon pets

Just remember, race/class/sex doesn't affect the pet in any way other than fluff/looks. Although, a Luri pet would be smaller and harder to see than a Firby.
A pet is a pet..they all have the same stats and have zero racial modifiers.
Edit: I don't remember the exact storyline, but if I remember right it's the reason for only 2 types. The pets are summoned from under the hill and those are only Elves and Luri. Something like that, I forget, but I believe that is what Hinura was referring to.

I think it's probably a simple roleplaying reason - the enchanter is technically summoning the help of a companion, and as enchanters are elves and lurikeens then logically their friends will be too. In contrast, the spiritmaster is raising the spirit of a fallen warrior, which could be any Midgard race.
To be honest, I think it actually helps having only lurikeen/chanter pets. It's a fact that your RvR enemies do sometimes get you and your pet mixed up, and having these races only helps that. No chance of a spiritmaster or cabalist getting that small advantage, with their glowing ghosts and simulacrums .

now call me silly, but if I call a companion to help me fight something, I am gonna kick his in the junk for showing up to a fight with nothing but a smile. At least match the SM's ability to decide weapon choice
