what buffs for chanter pet when focus pullin?

I have just been giving my pet con and af buffs and letting him go at it, but someone told me recently that "all buffs" help the absorb rate. I didn't believe him, but I thought I might as well ask here anyways. Thx

All buffs except brain and haste are useful. Some people think haste is useful and I tried it a ton with and without, no change either way. str, str/con, dex, dex/qui, af, etc all improve pet absorb.

give the pet all buffs
haste is helpfull for getting aggro on the pet and helps dmg
int well dunno if it does anything but if it does id rather want my pet to have it

^^Wrong. As of patch 1.72 spec AF does absolutely nothing for pets of any kind.

The pet doesn't get extra str from the str buff, he gets more absorb. Same with the dex buff.

yeah, i think most, if not all, increase the absorb of the pet, not necessarily the stat that its attributed to.

I could have sworn my ally attacks faster with dex buffs. Maybe it's the placebo effect.

Pet buffs are uncapped.
Dex buffs give 0.25% melee absorb per buff point.
Con buffs give 0.25% melee and magic absorb per buff point.
Str increases damage output, qui increases melee speed afaik, AF and brain buffs of any kind do squat.
The abs buffs from Dex and Con stack against melee damage multiplicatively (like regular and RA resists), not additively (not 50% + 50% = 100%). Plain-old absorb buffs (necro/animist/BD/BoF) stack additively with something, my guess has been the Dex absorb buff; BoF 3 with solid buffs makes the pet near-immune to melee damage.

my fully buffed ml9 ally gets hit for ~10 damage or less by fins when it has 25% animsit abs... preety sweet
