Mana Snare Nuke Effect

Been gone a long time, coming back for the classic servers, I was wondering/forgot, if the snare component of the mana spec nuke has an immunity timer (ie. first cast is 40% reduction for X seconds, followed by 1 min immunity) or does it reapply upon each succesfuly landed nuke? Thanks.

against RvR opponents it grants 1 minute immunity to snares and roots
In PvE the mobs continue to stay snares as you nuke them from range over and over.

Yeah I meant in RvR. Any idea how long the snare lasts? I remember the chanter pets with snare nukes being absolutely deadly on Andred back in the day.

Go light. Mana is ok but it's situational.
Light and subspec mana. You'll still get aoe disease plus the nasty red ns and you'll nuke for alot more. Without ToA, an RvR mana eld is going to have issues. Pbae will cast much slower.

Uhhh, no it doesn't. You can't snare people that are root immune, the snare itself never sets a timer.
Edit: I'm not sure if all the new det 5 tanks running around will basically shrug off the snare though. Most likely the duration of the snare will be less than a second on any of them

Are you sure? On my runemaster, if I DD snared I could not subsequently root the person.

I'm not asking for spec advice, I simply can't remember if:
A. Snare is counted as a root (as far as I remember on my old runey and SM, they where not)
B. Snare time on a lvl 50 snare nuke
C. If it caused an immunity timer to come up after the effect was over (answered)
Thx

"Without ToA, an RvR mana eld is going to have issues"
What issues? no banelord to interupt? no zephyr to waste your moc? no speedwarp to prevent running speed 6 to bomb stuff? no group cure disease to stop your 400 radius disease?
"Pbae will cast much slower"
so will every other spell in the game

Maybe its different in Mid on Runemasters. I do know that my eldritch's snare DD's don't and never have set an immunity timer to snares or roots. If they had been rooted recently and I tried to use it on them the DD portion would hit and then I'd get the "xxxx can't have that effect again yet!" message. The snare is 30 seconds long, effected by resists and determination (I think).
Edit: I reread what you said, its possible that while the snare is active on someone you can't root them. Not having access to a root I can't say for sure.

The snare/DDs act like melee snares, where if you keep applying them they won't set an immunity timer. When you root the snared target or it something breaks the snare it'll set the immunity timer, so you won't be able to continuously snare/DD them afterwards until it wears off.
