So whats the Deal with Underhill Friend

More and more Im seeing chanters in RvR and the Underhill friend is the pet of choice. Why? Compatriot gets is own AF buff. If your just usinging it for interupts why not the compatriot pet?

I dunno, I read something about it hitting harder so I gave it a shot the other night. ML9 and buffed it was hitting for 600-700+ so I think thats probably why

Friend hits a lot harder however its coupled with having much lower hps than a compatriot.

Last time I tested them on pend, the compatriot hit for less but faster, while the friend was harder and slower. So if you have a bot buffing the pet and just want damage instead of tanking go with the friend since the compatriot will cap swing speed.
Unbuffed, though, the compatriot was still outdamaging the friend. The tests weren't really deep though, only did a few hundred swings total instead of thousands, heh.

I always thought the snare nuking companion or the ally where the way to go.....
buffed those 2 pets rock

The ally rarely rocks. Even buffed it doesnt get enough heals off open field. And it goes completely brain dead when you have a dead group member. And thanks to it trying to stop and cast it will fall behind unless you make loops for it. Being behind it will get stuck on the landscape more often. I have stopped using it as back up heals and use the friend as a threat.
