Focus pulling. Solo. 9 enchants level 45
I have been using compatriot for last 4 levels due to the shield. Someone told me the ally has a significantly larger amount of hp so does better. Any data on hp / natural absorb / damage links out there?
Also. Any info if the base damage shield buff hinders or helps the focus ds?

My understanding is, if you've got a buffbot, the Ally is the better pet to use because the Naturalist buff is better than the pet's self-buff, but otherwise the Compatriot's shield makes it better. But I prefer the Ally anyway, since it heals you if things go Horribly Wrong.
As for the standard damage shield, I think it does improve damage a little bit, but it puts you in combat--this means you can't use MCL, can't have speed kick in, and doesn't let you use a powerfont (though I doubt that's a problem on Mord). Not worth the tiny amount of damage it adds, I think.
