OK since they are working on pets atm---what are some things that you would like to see?

Styles on the pets?
INtercept?
what?

They could start with our pets that actually did something, like I dunno caster pets that would actually cast and not go into melee if they take even 1 point of damage. Or how about an ally that actually heals worth a damn? I dunno little things like that might be a start.

Ooh ooh ooh

Zealot Damage converted to spirit and spirit debuff (hib needs more spirit damage), and a bolt spell if outta range or regular nuke

Compatriot lose self shield, gain LW and associated styles

Ally gain low value group* heal styles, and conc based heal buff instead of timed

Companion hmmm change damage to spirit

Friend self haste

*oops left that important detail out initially, damn sleep deprivation

I'm with Elladar on that. I also think there should be distinct differences between the Friend, Ally, and Compatriot pets.

Ally pets needs to heal for more and/or more often (i.e. not waiting until group member is under 50% health before thinking about healing). Ally should have a shield to block attacks, and be more defensive.

Compatriots should have alot more HP's than an ally, should do more damage by way of LW, or be able to choose S/S. Compatriot self AF buff should be stackable with druid AF.

Friend should be a dual wield damage type, and be able to double hit, have a self DA buff comparable to it's level, and stack with other DA buffs casted on it.

Companion, change damage+snare to stun+damage. Keep caster pet from going into melee

Zealot Pet, change pet from casting heat debuff 3 times on a target before actually casting a DD. Instead, cast DD with a 10% debuff component. Maybe an AoE root/snare? Keep caster pet from going into melee

Make ML9 on caster pets increase spell damage.

The pet going into melee like it does I don't think is something that can be changed. I've tooled around with quite a few pet classes including charmed ones and even charmed caster ets do the same annoying thing our underhill caster pets do

Anything is possible. It's all just code driven. Mythic may not want to put the resources into fixing it, but it's possible to do.

Styles I can ask for, the arry thing (as previously mentioned) i can (and have asked for)

shields however present an issue--that would mean shield styles which would mean slam/numb whihc would interfere with the immunity cra for our stun

Styles for the pets with weapons


let them use some styles, depending on weapon

maybe allow for 1H+shield or 2H + nothing ... and allow the 1H weapons to have more utility styles (no shield styles!!! ->Op'd) like snare/attack speed debuff/bleed Ideal would be weapon dependent:

Pierce -> bleeds
Blunt -> snares
Blades -> attack speed reduction

2Handers would lose the utility of special styles, but gain damage (not player damage... but 100 ish? dunno ML9 is kinda rough to balance Wink

This would NOT be every style... just randomly off and on

Awesomeness would be one pet with the scythe and the scythe styles :O (pbaoe, non timered aoeroot ftw? Wink )


For the caster pets:

2 spells, one "rarer" cast than the other

forget the name:
Snare+dd with a rare cast of a debuff (str/con? or heck... nearsight Razz )

Zealot:
Debuff+dd with a rare bolt (he IS the damage caster right? Razz )

Ally
Heals (threshold 50%... can't put it too high... it IS a heal for the group) rarely casts: 10s absorb shield (stacks with caster) for 20%? or something Conc based regen buff (eliminates chain rebuffing)

Compatriot:
HP buff... just a flat +HP... or +abs but that might be opd Razz like +50% hp? small (+5%HP?) conc buff for group... or a group defensive heal proc :O

High melee dps guy:
Small group DPS (melee only) buff.. 5%? or a group melee proc buff (<-- hib lacks these bigtime)

All casters:
New command(?): CASTER MODE, pet only attempts to cast, does not enter melee ever.


Give enchanters utility... through their pets... make the pets be more of a factor on the field (definitly not a deciding one... but one that actually does mean something)

ok--i want general changes--the pet stuff that has gone in so far has been for multiple realms not just our pets so any suggestions have to be general and applicable to all pet classes I would think

OK General pet changes...

1. Pet to have a chance to intercept melee hits on me. (i.e. spiritmaster pets)

2. I want to be able to Demezz my pet (i.e. almost every other pet class)

3. Pet to proc a disiese/DoT when hitting their target in melee.

Well general changes then how about ranged pets don't goto close combat if sneezed at.
