	I'm going to have and argue that quickcast does help the casting time. However I think casting time is locked at 2seconds. Not sure about you. But fully buffed my 2.6 dd is realllllly close to 2 seconds. Hence when I use quick cast it's only to keep from being interupted. Now with that said, quickcast sure helps me get a shroom out. oh yeah.... class dismissed... roll a mage with a longer casting time. And you'll "notice" a difference.

	Whitegoth, I'll test it out...my huntress is 50 bow and I have a Heavy Duskwood MP bow in the vault. The damage may be true for Rapid Fire, why not Crit Strike, and regular shots? There is NO good reason archers in each realm should not be given the same capability to do damage and the same range. 	Here is my test. Tried 20 barbed arrows a piece on my bard. The rapid fire thing was a bit tricky so I spammed that sucker as much as I could to get the speed to be as fast as possible but still, I'm not sure what to make of the results. The times of the shots are the important factor and I can't seem to get a good set time on the draws because mythic took out the tenths. Seems like rapid fire does more than 50% damage for half the time but like I said, the timing is difficult to pin down. This would be easier if I could get auto release to work every shot on rapid fire and the minimum was known and met each test shot. To use your numbers: RF shot: 1.5sec @ 222 dmg Reg. shot: 3.5sec @ 52 dmg Given 6.5 seconds to get away you are right, RF gives the archer the ability to score more damage. However, if it takes you just 0.5 seconds more to get out of range, using normal shots rather than rapid fire will yield a damage increase of 140 (2514 -4222). If you consider the case where an archer is using only RF or only regular shots, they're will be circumstances where RF outdamages regular shots and there will be circumstances where regular shots outdamage RF. This is not a valid argument for reducing RF damage. I will not comment on the level of damage done by RF in an RvR situation as I have not tested it personally nor have I seen any logs that represent a valid test of the RF ability. In PvE I have yet to find a mob against which RF consistently outdamages regular shots. I can blow through six arrows before they close to melee, but if I use nothing but RF shots the damage is almost always less, in most cases significantly less, and at the very best its equal to that done by regular shots. I have had more success sticking with regular shots until the mob is in melee range and then switching to RF to get the last shot off in time. RF is also handy if a mob aggros on a caster or healer close to the group as it gives me the ability to quickly pull the mob off my groupmate. I believe RF's usage in RvR should be much the same way. Archers should see a benefit from switching back and forth between the two shot types depending on the circumstances. This makes the class more interesting to play and helps separate the weaker players from the stronger players. As an archer I will support a reduction in RF damage if it can be shown that RF shots consistently outdamage regular shots. As of yet I have not seen any logs that adequately show that is the case. 	All I can say is I love RF! I predicted it would get Archers nerfed when I tested it out on pendragon a few weeks back because it was too fast. But what it does do that makes archers amazingly good is that we can now use are bow in combat. RF is fast enough to evade most interupts! It feels so good knowing as a hunter I could simply use my bow and nothing else when fighting. I can toss that slow spear in the rubish bin! Heck I can even spec out of spear and focas on Spells, Bows, and stealth. That's what I call a real archer! As far as people claiming an increase in DPS and trying to prove it by logs... The 2.5 hours I spent today fighting mobs and switching back and forth from RF to normal shots seemed at first that I was doing a bit more damage WITH RF than without. Then I realized, that RF goes from 50% speed up and damage variance with it. Which is the problem. My human preception can't keep track if I released at 1.5 speed or 1.8 or 1.9speed. It's going to look the same to me when so much else is going on especially. These few tenths of a second can easily be what's making it seem like archers are doing more damage than before because we're not release it at the same speed EVERY time, since it's required to be released of a press of a button. Human error/computer lag and other things can make it seem like we're releaseing at the maximum soonist time, but in reality we're not... giving us what seems to be an increase in damage when really, it's just the same as an increase in time. Otherwise, my damage earlier was going from 60-80 RF to 120-150 depending on the mob. Sometimes I was hitting for high 80's - 90's with RF. So either RF coding is broken or (more likely) my perception of when I'm really releasing is off. So Mythic, double check the code (can't be hard since it's a straight ratio vs time) and let us know. But I think it's a great ability. My 2hd bow is now a 1hd bow. Cheers, Fozzy edit I think the best solution would be to make RF be strickly a 50% speed/damage reduction. 	the problem is that there is no dps difference between shooting in RF mode or normal mode, there needs to be a penalty that you sacrifice in order to get the benefit of shooting faster. As it stands, there is no reason for an archer to ever use a standard shot over rapid fire. If you shoot twice as fast, you're sacrificing draw time, that is aim time. So if you cut your aim time in half, double your miss rate. There needs to be an upside and downside to RF. There is no downside to RF right now. -----signature----- O.G. You still... one more time since the Ice Pimp has a hard time with this. Still run out of endurance. And you know what happens to a ranger/archer with no endurance??? They can't shoot. That's right.. The magic bow of godlyness no longer functions. It doesn't work. ei, doesn't shoot. Well you know what happens then? You switch to your melee. That's right, the melee that you ""lowered"" to spec higher in bow. You melee that you can't style with, the melee that has a lower WS since it's spec'ed lower. The melee that gets evaded, blocked and missed due to your lower spec. Now, I'm sure your still going to have some problems understanding this. Just let me know if you need me to use smaller words or space them out for you.

	Scouts were hitting me for 300+ per hit at 1.5s, I dont see how is it that not being overpowered.
