So, I'm now leading groups in RvR.
I had this idea for a tactic, and was hoping you guys could poke some holes in it.
Upon contact with incoming enemy, target, face, begin casting mez. (44 mez) continue casting mez repeatedly. Other casters in my group target pets and any tanks that purge and cast ST root. Drop aoe STR/CON, aoe DEX/QUI, STR, DEX debuffs while chaincasting mez. Identify druids/bards/healers, send my pet for interupts. My casters and tanks begin MA routine, while I continue to generate interuptions with aoe mez. If I get hit with insta, pop MOC and continue to cast aoe mez (not worried about duration anymore, just interuptions)
My thoughts:
AOE mez does not break mez.
AOE mez does not break root.
44 AOE mez has 400 radius/800 diameter, bolt range.
ST root on pets unaffected by chaincasted aoe mez
ST root on tanks unbroken by aoe mez
Debuffs don't break mez or root on players
Debuffs do break mez on pets, but not root.
Tanks who purge susceptable to root
casters that purge susceptable to aoe mez interupts
MOC affects duration of mez, but duration doesn't matter after initial mez.
MOC doesn't affect instant debuffs (is this correct?)
Perfect execution means enemy pets and tanks rooted, casters and healers perma interupted until they move out of range.
Flaws: Det Tanks don't need to purge mez or root, and will come right for me. DI+MOC, SoI, Bodyguard, guard would help.
Questions:
Would +mind improve my mana consumption if I chain cast aoe mez?
Does the lvl 10 proc on my Nailah's Robe fail on root immunity?

), I wouldn't worry too much about getting +mind on your items (thought you maybe already have some +'s to all magic skills in some items anyway).
