Snack sized:
Q: On clustered servers, I cannot seem to use the ignore command. Something wrong?
A: From customer service: "When on a clustered server, you must use the "-servername" qualifier after the character name in order for the ignore to work. So, if I were trying to ignore you, but you were from a different server within my cluster, I would type:
/ignore Sanya-pendragon
NOT the incorrect /ignore Sanya."
Q: (Insert question here about Hibernian armorcrafting.)
A: I apologize, Hib crafters - this change was left out of the notes by accident, and that's why we chose to run a hot fix and change things partly back to their original state. The note I posted today said "In version 1.74e, we changed Hibernian armorcrafting to allow armorcrafters to gain metalworking skill, like the other two realms. Today, we have put in a hot fix to modify this change. Hibernian armorcrafters will once again be able to craft without depending on the metalworking skill. However, the metalworking skill will still increase as the armorcrafter skills up."
Q: What do the Defensive Bonus/Penalty for Styles do? Do you have to land a style for the Defensive Bonus/Penalty to affect the player using the style?
A: From the Spell Goddess: "The defensive bonus/penalty plays a part in hit chance and damage on the attack launched against you (not your attack against the target). The bonus or penalty does not affect your character's evade, parry, or block rate. For example, Enrage makes you easier to hit and damage because it has a defensive penalty.
"This defensive bonus or penalty is activated when you attack with your style and is not removed until your next attack."
Q: Do Acuity buffs work on Enchanter pets?
A: Again from the Goddess: "Pets that cast spells do not have a casting stat or power pool like a player does, thus acuity buffs do not affect them."
Q: I lost my house for not paying the rent. Where are the "repo men" located, and what are their names?
A: Your stuff can be found in:
Albion - Vivian and Fyren, in Caerwent
Hibernia - Shyla and Kineth, in Meath
Midgard - Ulfar and Drafli, in Erikstaad
Q: I love the herding game - Can Mythic let us put the hats in our vaults, though? My inventory is filling up with hats.
A: Yes, in the next version (1.75), according to our Quest Queen. Since it's not possible for us to set an item to go into a personal vault, but not the guild vault, we will just remove the no-drop flag from the item.
Q: My level 50 RR5L1 Celt Ranger seems to have his melee resists capped at 26%, but my level 50 RR4L7 Celt Blademaster has slash and crush resists higher than 26%.
Is this a bug, or do tanks get a higher melee resist than rangers?
A: From our Spell (and Class) Goddess: "Each race has innate racial resists...for the Celts, they have 2% to Crush and 3% to Slash.
"You have a resist cap of 26%, which is *added* to the racial resists. So, for a Celt, they can reach a max of 28% to Crush and 29% to Slash. I think this is probably what's occurring for his blademaster - his ranger just hasn't reached the cap yet."
Q: (Insert comment here about a Summon Mastery and Juggernaut question last week)
A: Many people have commented that J3 at first seems like an unnecessary purchase, because there's a level cap of 70 for pets. If you've got a level 50 pet, J3 would take you ten levels over the cap. BUT - as one of our intrepid programmers pointed out, "A lot of classes that can get Juggernaut can never have a base 50 pet (spirit masters and bone dancers, among others)."
So while J3 still goes over the cap, it can take those 45th level pets to the cap, which can't be done with SM or J2. And that's the highest pets for the highest level players - it's possible to get the ability earlier in your "career."
